Our Technical Assistance area can help you with any Nintendo technical question. If your answer isn't online, we have phone numbers and addresses for further assistance. Why do games get delayed? The process of creating video games is a very complicated one, involving years of development by engineers, artists, creative designers, etc. In addition, the detailed programming for today's 3D games requires extensive testing. Our goal is to meet projected release dates for games, but sometimes we have to alter our plans to ensure the game quality you expect from us is met. We'd rather delay the release of a game than have you purchase a game that doesn't meet your expectations. Also, most games are created and developed by our engineers in Japan, and the process of translating games from Japanese versions to their American counterparts is lengthy and complicated. Though they are subject to change, the dates we publish in Nintendo Power magazine and on our website represent the most accurate dates available at press time. Can I use pictures or articles from Nintendo's site for my own? Can I write in and request permission? Nintendo does not grant permission to individuals to use any content from this website. Because we receive thousands of such requests, our policy is to decline use of our trademarks and copyrights.
