Allocation of vehicle type to Porsche oil specification:
Viscosity:
The viscosity of an engine oil is specified by the SAE viscosity class.
The first number and the letter W (winter) identify the viscosity at low temperatures. This means that an oil with the specification "5W" is
more viscous than oil with the specification "0W".
The second number indicates the viscosity at high temperatures. This means that an oil with the specification "40" is less viscous than oil
with the specification "50".
Multigrade oils are identified by both viscosity specifications, e.g. SAE 0W40, 5W40 or 5W50.
Examples:
SAE 0W 40 and 5W40 oils have the same viscosity at high temperatures, but at low temperatures, the "5W" oil is more viscous.
SAE 5W40 and 5W50 oils have the same viscosity at low temperatures, but at higher temperatures, the oil with viscosity class "40" is
less viscous.
Temperature Ranges:
Above 25? C:
Below 25? C:
All oils approved by Porsche for the vehicle type to be considered.
All oils approved by Porsche for the vehicle type to be considered which have a viscosity of SAE class 0W
Miscibility:
All engine oils approved by Porsche can be mixed provided they are of the same Porsche oil specification. This means that it is not
necessary to flush the engine when the oil is changed if another type of oil is used. However, since every brand of oil has a specially
adapted unique composition, the same brand and type of oil should be used for topping up between oil change intervals if possible.Porsche Cayenne Turbo S (9PA) V84.8L Turbo
