  NOTE: Diagnosis should indicate a positive deviation (enrichment) of more than 30% of the lambda control adaptation in the lower load range (FRAU > 1.3).

  
  

  Diagnostic conditions

• Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
• Lambda control active
• Engine temperature > 60 °C (140 °F)
• Engine load between 6 % and 30 %
• Mass air flow between 6 kg/h and 32 kg/h
• Engine speed between 320 rpm and 880 rpm
  
  

  Possible fault causes

• Incorrect main filling signal from hot-film mass air flow sensor (setpoint voltage with stopped engine and ignition on = 0.9 ... 1.1 V)
• Intake system leak
• Leak in exhaust system (drawing in fresh air)
• Fuel pressure too low
• Mechanical fault of fuel injector(s) (stuck)
• Fuel pump delivery too low
