NOTICE

Covering headlights that are switched on

^ Danger of heating and chafing at the headlights

--> Do not cover headlights, e.g. with wing protector or film.

--> Switch off ignition.

If a protective cover is placed on the fender area of a vehicle, the following points must be observed:

--> The main headlight switch must generally be set to o - "Light is switched off".

--> When the switch is set to "AUTO", the driving lights are switched on automatically, depending on the ambient brightness.

This means that the headlights can come on automatically, e.g. if a protective cover without a gauze section is used (in the headlight area), and can

be damaged as a result of the build-up of heat under the protective cover.

--> Switch off ignition.

Particularly for vehicles with Xenon lighting system (I-no. I601):

--> Use protective cover with integrated gauze material (--> Figure 1) in the headlight area.
