Research Macan Prices & Specs

The 2018 Porsche Macan gets a new cabin air filter and an updated instrument cluster display that shows cabin air circulation. Slotting below the midsize Cayenne, the 2018 Porsche Macan is the brand鈥檚 entry-level compact luxury crossover and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Two engines are available in the 2018 Macan including a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque in the base model or a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 in the S, GTS, and Turbo variants. The twin-turbo V-6 is rated at 340 hp and 339 lb-ft in the Macan S, 360 hp and 369 lb-ft in the Macan GTS, and 400 hp and 406 lb-ft in the Macan Turbo. The only transmission available on all Macan models is Porsche鈥檚 seven-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission. EPA fuel economy ratings are 20/25 mpg city/highway for the base Macan and 17/23 mpg for all models equipped with the 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6. There鈥檚 17.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and it can be expanded to 53 cubic feet with them down. All variants of the Macan can tow up to 4,409 pounds of payload when properly equipped.

Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, the PCM multimedia interface, parking sensors, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, a 7.0-inch multi-information display, a power tailgate, HID headlights, power front seats, 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats, and tri-zone climate control. The NHTSA and IIHS haven鈥檛 crash tested the 2018 Porsche Macan. Lane change assist can be had as a standalone option or bundled with lane keep assist. Adaptive cruise control comes bundled together with Porsche Active Safe system, which combines forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. In a 2015 First Test, we said that the Macan drives as a Porsche should, offering strong acceleration and sure-footed handling when the road starts turning. Steering feel, however, could be improved with more feedback. When the pavement ends, the Macan is surprisingly capable; however, it鈥檚 no rock crawler and should be limited to light trails and not extreme rock crawling. Pricing 鈥?especially when equipped with desirable options 鈥?is a bit above some of its rivals.

The mid-level Macan GTS splits the difference between the Macan S and Turbo but also provides an even more driver-centric experience just like every GTS model. In terms of handling, the Macan GTS is superior to the other models in the lineup including the more powerful Macan Turbo thanks to its superior suspension setup. On the road, we noted in a 2017 First Test that the Macan GTS drives just like one would expect out of a Porsche, offering confident handling and quick acceleration with its twin-turbo V-6. However, some issues caused the Macan GTS to place third in a recent comparison test to the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 and the Jaguar F-Pace S, which was the winner. Its cabin, for instance is cramped and the seats give up too much comfort in the name of sporty driving, and it felt out of its element on the highway. Surprisingly the Macan GTS鈥?twin-clutch automatic isn鈥檛 as polished as it is on other Porsche vehicles, shifting harshly and sometimes interrupting power delivery. The twin-turbo V-6 also suffers from turbo lag and runs out of power the closer you get to its redline.

Following in the footsteps of the trendsetting 959, Porsche went for the lightest design possible while still maintaining body integrity. At 3043 pounds, the designers accomplished their goal and then powered her accordingly. She runs a beautiful 181.5 inches long and 75.6 inches wide. She stands 45.7 inches high. Natural Porsche styling enhanced the face with a swept back hood, screaming the potential for speed and power with graceful lines that surpass other Porsches. The elevated wheel arches announce her potential with fanfare and the mid-engine concept is sweetly accentuated by the forward moving cockpit and long running midline between the door and the rear axel. Her overall styling can be described in one word. Sexy. Powerful. Graceful. Pick the word of your choice. Porsche came forth with an innovative design styling with the Carrera GT. By combining the qualities originally designed for the race car version and toning down only what was necessary to produce a production car, The Carrera GT is a hybrid of track performance and road desired features. The large, functional air dams and side inlets combine form and function as they cool the 5.7 heart nestled under the carbon fiber rear hood.

The 15 inch ceramic brake pads beautifully contrast against the 19 inch front tires and the 20 inch rear tires. In typical Porsche fashion, the braking system is equally as top of the line as her acceleration system, outfitted with Porsche's latest racing brake system. The entire drive train was lowered to lower the center of gravity, which of course led to sharper handling and responsiveness. The automated rear wing spoiler engages as needed at higher speeds- meaning 60 to 70 miles per hour- like most Porsche designs. The chassis and suspension system was tested under the extreme conditions of the 24 hour LeMans, and thus it was carried over from the 911 GT1. The composite carbon-fiber chassis of the Carrera GT is identical to the tough tested 911 GT1. Double wishbone pushrod axels in the front and rear have individual guide sleeves and springs allowing for sensitive response and perfect spring balance regardless of speed. This is a huge improvement over the usual Porsche installed McPherson spring struts.

Driver response is additionally enhanced thank to the agile power steering system. The monocoque chassis were created from a bonded layer of carbon fiber tissue, aluminum, plastic honeycomb materials, and resin. This created lightweight but superiorly strong chassis. The chassis weight in at just above 220 pounds. 550,000 for the Carrera GT. The 2006 Carrera GT has become the new legend of super car technology, design, styling, and driver enticing performance. Production was stopped short due to the pressing desire to return resources to the Cayenne, and the simple rarity of this super car adds to its desirability. Porsche has long held the philosophy that when concentrating on the essentials the creation surpasses expectation, and of course the Carrera GT is no exception to this time tested rule. Despite all of her remarkable design features and super car personality, Porsche prides itself on creating a super car that can be driven on a daily basis. The air conditioning, traction control, the GPS navigation system, an incredible Bose sound system, and a complimentary 5 piece matching leather luggage set were offered as standard equipment. She is performance and pleasure all wrapped up into a package that can't be denied.

2019 Porsche 911 Prices, Reviews, And Pictures

Is the Porsche 911 a Good Car? The Porsche 911 is a great car. The redesign doesn't change what makes this car great; it only enhances it. The 911 is sleek, stylish, and most notably, fast. And its handling is inconceivably good. Inside, this Porsche looks fantastic. There are comfortable front seats and plenty of standard and available tech features. Should I Buy the Porsche 911? As undeniably great as this car is, the price tag will undoubtedly scare off some buyers. Should I Buy a New or Used Porsche 911? Porsche rolls out a redesigned 911 for the 2020 model year. It also comes standard with a Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission and a new standard wet driving mode to aid with driving in wet conditions. Night vision assist is a newly available feature, and the new model features rear wheels that are 1 inch larger than the front ones. We don鈥檛 base our car reviews on our personal opinions.

Instead, we combine the findings of professional test drivers with data such as reliability ratings and safety scores to give you a complete overview of every vehicle we rank. U.S. News & World Report has been ranking the best cars, trucks, and SUVs since 2007, and our staff has more than 75 years鈥?worth of auto industry experience combined. To keep our reviews unbiased, we don鈥檛 accept expensive gifts or trips from car companies, and an outside company manages our advertising. How Much Does the Porsche 911 Cost? 126,100 for the cabriolet (convertible) model. Even by luxury sports car standards, those are extraordinarily high starting prices. 130,000s for the cabriolet. Check out our U.S. News Best Price Program for great savings at your local Porsche dealer. You can also find excellent manufacturer incentives on our Porsche deals page. Which Is Better: Porsche 911 or Mercedes-AMG GT? The Mercedes-AMG GT is another car near the top of our class rankings.

Both it and the 911 are offered in coupe and convertible models, and both cars offer sublime handling. The GT's base engine is stronger than the 911's, and the Mercedes-Benz also offers several more-powerful engine options. The 911, however, has the smoother ride of the two. Inside, the Porsche is a bit more comfortable and offers more features, but the Mercedes-Benz has more trunk space. These are both outstanding - and extremely expensive - cars, and the right choice will probably come down to which test drive you enjoy more (and you should definitely test-drive both). Which Is Better: Porsche 911 or Porsche Boxster? 54,000 less than its stablemate's. The Boxster is a two-seat roadster with agile handling and a cushioned ride. Its engines aren't as strong as the 911's, but the Boxster still has enough juice to get your heart rate up. The Boxster is driver-focused, with a cockpit-like cabin and comfortable seats.

The 911 offers many more features, but the Boxster still has some nice tech options. The 911 is a bit better overall, but only you can decide whether it's worth the price difference. If you decide the Boxster is the way to go, you might also like the Porsche Cayman, which is basically a coupe version of the Boxster. The 911 (currently only offered in S variants) comes with a 443-horsepower twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine and an eight-speed PDK automatic transmission that shifts quickly and reliably. The engine delivers plenty of power, and though it may not give the impression that you're blasting into hyperspace the way rivals like the Audi R8 do, the 911 still feels outrageously quick in any driving situation. In this car, you'll never find yourself in the slow lane - unless that's also the name of a bar you like. Fuel economy estimates for the 2020 Porsche 911 are not yet available. How Many People Does the 911 Seat? The 911 seats four people, at least in theory. In practice, it's more like a two-seater, because the rear seats are so small that almost any adult will feel cramped.

Porsche Prices, Reviews & Ratings

Porsche鈥檚 2018 lineup of sports cars is exactly in line with their excellent reputation for superior aesthetics and extreme performance. The Porsche 718 Cayman S now has a 350 hp engine, automatic transmission, and boasts a 4.4 second acceleration time from zero to 60 mph. The 718 Cayman S now offers the Sport Chrono package, which can improve acceleration times and reach a top speed of 177 mph. The 718 Boxster S has also been improved for 2018, and now has a turbocharged boxer 4 engine capable of exerting 309 lb-ft of torque at 1900 rpm. With a compression ratio of 9.5:1, the 718 Boxster S is also a bit more fuel efficient than prior models. Porsche鈥檚 legendary 911 Turbo S series also has a few upgrades in 2018, with 27 more hp than the 2017 model for a total of 607 hp of engine power. The Porsche Communication Management system has also been improved for the 2018 911 Turbo S series, which will make navigation much easier than before.

Unlike its downsized turbocharged rivals, Mazda鈥檚 right-sized policy means this larger lump produces more power, at 163bhp, but with only 213Nm it is down on torque compared with its competitors. You feel this latter figure on the road and it also showed during our performance tests because the CX-5 was slower than its opponents here. As it doesn鈥檛 have a turbo to boost its mid-range and the Mazda has only six gears to the Q3鈥檚 seven, it took 23.3 seconds to accelerate from 50 to 70mph in sixth, whereas the Audi managed 10.1 seconds. The Q3 was more urgent from 30-50mph in the lower gears as well. It needed just 5.2 seconds in fourth, whereas its turbocharged Volvo rival took a second longer in fifth. The Mazda took 7.6 seconds. However, using the upper reaches of the rev range from 0-60mph, where the CX-5鈥檚 performance lies, highlighted that it was only two tenths slower than the Q3, taking 9.2 seconds.

This shows that refinement isn鈥檛 the Mazda鈥檚 strongest point, because with no turbo boosting its mid-range performance, you have to rev it to extract the pace. The six-speed auto box also holds on to ratios too long and is sluggish to shift when it does, so it doesn鈥檛 feel as instant or as punchy as either rival, despite its higher power output. In fact, it feels laboured. Still, the CX-5鈥檚 chassis is great. It doesn鈥檛 have the body control of the Audi, but then it also isn鈥檛 as firm and rides with more compliance. It still governs its mass well, so the chassis doesn鈥檛 wallow around. In fact, it鈥檚 a good balance of agility and comfort. The steering has a great weight and a good speed; it鈥檚 not overly assisted and doesn鈥檛 have the artificial-feeling enhanced responsiveness to inputs of its rivals. It feels more natural as a result. The CX-5鈥檚 footprint is actually similar to its rivals鈥?here, while it trumps the XC40 for boot space, at 506 litres.

This is 24 litres down on the Q3, but in reality this isn鈥檛 too much and the Mazda should offer enough practicality for most situations. There鈥檚 not much to split the CX-5 and Q3 for rear legroom, but the Audi鈥檚 cabin feels more spacious in the front with better storage, even if the driving position and range of adjustment isn鈥檛 as good. Levers in the load bay make it easy to fold the rear seats from the boot as well. Mazda鈥檚 ninth place result in our Driver Power 2018 survey was a strong showing, with the brand praised for its ride and handling, as well as reliability and build quality. We don鈥檛 disagree, but you can also add safety to that list as well, because the five-star-rated CX-5 offers autonomous braking, blind spot monitoring, lane-keep assist and cross-traffic alert. Despite lacking a turbo, the CX-5 returned stronger economy on test of 34.5mpg, which means annual fuel bills of 拢1,935 over 12,000 miles.

This compares with the XC40鈥檚 30.1mpg, which means you鈥檒l only pay 拢2,218 a year at the pumps. No surprise, given it鈥檚 a manual. The Q3 returned a respectable 31.7mpg, which means your outgoings on petrol will come to 拢2,106 over 12 months; the Audi and Volvo were closer, but running costs here are still similar. Testers鈥?notes: 鈥淚f towing a trailer is important to you, the Mazda鈥檚 2,000kg limit is good. The Q3 has come of age. It鈥檚 a more mature, more refined and more practical package than before, and is loaded with lots of desirable technology as standard. This makes it really easy to live with, along with its great flexibility. Yet it hasn鈥檛 lost its premium appeal or character. The Audi is pricier, but the quality and kit compared with the Volvo mean we feel it鈥檚 worth the extra. While the XC40 is still a great compact premium crossover, it鈥檚 better in diesel auto form than this T3 petrol version. The lack of an automatic option hampers its appeal, and the engine isn鈥檛 as sweet as the Audi鈥檚, either. Also, the infotainment isn鈥檛 as advanced (smartphone tech is optional), and while it鈥檚 comfortable and refined, the Audi鈥檚 extra practicality edges it ahead. The CX-5 has come a long way and is more premium than ever, but it still has a little way to go in this company. It beats the Volvo for practicality, but the Mazda鈥檚 infotainment is lacking, even after a significant update with CarPlay and Android Auto. The engine also feels a generation behind and means it鈥檒l be pricier to run compared with its rivals.

2019 Porsche 718 Cayman Deals, Prices, Incentives & Leases, Overview

The 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman may be the brand's entry-level option, but few can handle corners with the same aplomb. With a mid-engine design, the 718 Cayman is quick, agile, and incredibly balanced. In typical Porsche fashion, feedback is excellent and the suspension is perfectly damped for spirited driving. The most potent model, the 718 Cayman GTS has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 365 horsepower. With that much power in a small package, the model can get to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. Those figures are far from entry-level in any sense of the word. Exotic design. The 718 Cayman is a gorgeous vehicle from any angle. Sculpted lines replace the old model's softer edges, while a sharper overall design gives the sports car a more aggressive feel. For such a small vehicle, the sports car comes off as being muscular. On the inside, the 718 Cayman has enough buttons to make you feel like you're working at NASA.

Yes, but it's driver oriented and beautiful. High-end materials envelop two passengers, while the steering wheel is from the 918 Spyder. Strong list of equipment. 58,150, the 718 Cayman comes with a good list of standard features. Things like an eight-speaker sound system, a universal garage door opener, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, sport seats, and a sport steering wheel are all standard. Climbing up the ladder reveals more luxurious options. Tight on space. While the cabin itself is relatively spacious for two people, cargo space is downright small. With a mid-engine design, you get two cargo areas: a frunk and a trunk. Between the two, you're looking at a total of 15 cubic feet of available cargo space. Getting into the vehicle is a reminder of why staying limber is important, as some will find ingress and egress tricky. Those not attending a regular yoga class might want to start if they plan on purchasing. Final thoughts. Very few cars get close to being perfect, but the 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman gets awfully close. There's very little to fault with the sports car, which makes it a must-drive vehicle. Unfortunately, it's not cheap. Sports cars like the 718 Cayman are meant to be enjoyed on a winding road, but the Porsche also manages to be easy to drive. And because of its compact size, you won't have anxiety when trying to park. If only it weren't so expensive and had better fuel economy. The 718 Cayman doesn't have a lot of competition. The BMW M2 has more horsepower and two tiny seats in the back. The Audi TT, depending on what trim you go with, has more power and all-wheel drive. The Jaguar F-Type can also be had with much more power, plus it's even better looking in our opinion.

2019 Porsche 718 Boxster Deals, Prices, Incentives & Leases, Overview

The driving experience is the name of the game for small sports cars, and the 2019 Porsche 718 Boxster is as good as it gets. It may not have the all-out speed of its older sibling, the Porsche 911, but the 718 Boxster feels just as potent. Clever turbos cut down on lag, which means responses are lightning quick. The steering is the same - the rack is electronically assisted, but it relays plenty of feedback from the road. This is an impressive balance, and one that other premium badges haven鈥檛 mastered (looking at you, Audi). Porsche鈥檚 PDK gearbox defines the genre of dual-clutch automatics, and, especially with launch control, it's excellent. All the same, we appreciate that the 718 Boxster still comes with a six-speed manual transmission, another rarity these days. All the performance details are as finely honed as you鈥檇 expect from Porsche. Brakes are powerful and responsive. The suspension is composed but aggressive.

If these aren鈥檛 enough, Porsche鈥檚 options list holds enough upgrades to satisfy all but the wildest of speed demons. The 718 may be the entry point to Porsche鈥檚 lineup, but for most mortals, it鈥檚 all the performance you could ever dream of. The 718 Boxster makes no bones about its mission in life, which generally doesn鈥檛 include carrying passengers or cargo. Seating is limited to two, although the supportive and leather-trimmed seats do make the journey comfortable. Baggage is another matter. The 718 Boxster鈥檚 mid-engine layout means that cargo space is split between a small trunk and a hood-access 鈥渇runk.鈥?The power-folding soft top encroaches on the space even further. The end result is a grand total of 9.6 cubic feet of cargo, with 5.2 of that located in the frunk. That鈥檚 enough for a (light) grocery run, but will probably be a squeeze on a weekend away. No one is buying the 718 Boxster for its utility, but a Chevrolet Corvette manages 15 cubic feet behind the seats.

Still, the Boxster isn鈥檛 the worst in its class - a BMW Z4 has only eight cubic feet for cargo. Although it鈥檚 a blast on the back roads and the track, performance isn鈥檛 the 718 Boxster鈥檚 only trick. The cabin is outfitted with modern tech, and even base models come with luxury touches like leather accents. The upper trims can wear leather, wood, carbon fiber, and a dizzying array of paint and upholstery choices. The exterior has grown more refined since the last generation, too. A more aggressive rear end sets off Porsche鈥檚 classic hood shape, giving the 718 Boxster a little more identity than it had in the past. GTS trims take the muscular lines and make them menacing. 60,000, the 718 Boxster isn't cheap to start. But a careless trip through Porsche鈥檚 configurator will tip the Boxster toward the six-figure mark. That base price is more than most competitors.

50,000, and even a Chevy Corvette can be had for less than the 718 Boxster. 50,000 mark as well - is just around the corner and has Porsche squarely in its sights. The good news is that a base 718 Boxster feels special enough to warrant Porsche鈥檚 premium. The less good news is that adding any options will drive the price up in a hurry. Our only major qualm is the lack of standard automatic emergency braking, but, all the same, bring a calm stomach and a deep wallet. Final thoughts. Sports cars are as much about personality as statistics, and the 2019 Porsche 718 Boxster is difficult to dislike. It鈥檚 sublime to drive and classy both inside and out. Being a two-seater spots convertible, it comes with compromises. Cargo space is scarce, and the options list intimidates by breadth and cost. The 718 Boxster鈥檚 competition is nothing to sneeze at, starting with Porsche鈥檚 (slightly cheaper) coupe version, the 718 Cayman. But drop the top down on a sunny day, hit the gas pedal, and try not to love the 718 Boxster. Sports cars are about the pleasure of the drive, about how they make you feel, and in the Boxster, Porsche has another winner.

2019 Porsche 718 Cayman Deals, Prices, Incentives & Leases, Overview

German automaker Porsche鈥檚 Design Team keeps itself busy. Sure, they work on cars and SUVs, but the team has a long history of collaboration on projects outside the company. Here are a couple of the most recent examples: one for the kitchen and one for the bathtub鈥r, ocean. A venture with electronics giant Siemens has yielded, of all things, a toaster. An efficient quartz heating element, automatic bread slice adjustments, cool-wall technology and a spaceship design aesthetic are all present and accounted for in what is certainly the鈥︹€漃orsche of toasters鈥? And now for the ocean: How does a 135 foot catamaran sound? In partnership with Royal Falcon Fleet, Porsche Design has crafted the RFF 135, one sharp looking yacht! RFF鈥檚 website states: 鈥淗er unique, space-aged, contemporary design makes her unmistakably a piece of modern architecture. The design's main focus is to indulge the customer with unmatched performance, comfort, space and luxury that suits a high-end lifestyle.鈥?We couldn鈥檛 agree more.

The GT4 Clubsport retains the familiar design of the road-going Cayman, but boasts a more aggressive stance thanks to its race-inspired body features. Up front, it's the bumper that sets the coupe apart. Instead of the narrow vents with horizontal slats, the Clubsport models sports larger outlets onto the sides and a wider trapezoidal opening in the center. It also features a big splitter below. Porsche also has different headlamps on this model, while the front hood has quick-release pins. There is also a race-spec tow on the front bumper. Onto the sides, the Clubsport looks identical to its road-going sibling. Porsche revised the vents on the rear fenders, most likely to improve airflow, and added motorsport specs, but other than that, the clubport is pretty much a standard Cayman. Porsche made a few notable changes around back, starting with the diffuser. The aerodynamic element was redesigned entirely. Not only bigger, it also split into two distinct elements, each incorporating a large, round exhaust pipe. The GT4 Clubsport is also the first production race car to feature body parts made of natural-fiber composite material.

Specifically, the doors and the rear wing are made of an organic fiber mix sourced primarily by products such as flax or hemp fibers and feature similar properties to carbon fiber in terms of weight and stiffness. The rest of the body is made of aluminum-steel composite, a common material for Porsche vehicles. Like most race cars designed for FIA competition, the GT4 Clubsport retains most of the interior features of the standard road car. The dashboard is identical, but Porsche opted for a carbon-fiber lower section. It also replaces the infotainment screen in the center stack with a motorsport-specific console that includes various buttons and switches. The standard instrument cluster was also replaced with a new screen with simpler operation and graphics. The shifts are displayed in the center, while other performance numbers are shown on each page. The standard steering wheel is also gone, replaced by a motorsport-style wheel with a flat bottom.

Aston Martin Valkyrie: Latest News, Reviews, Specifications, Prices, Photos And Videos

The most innovative supercar yet? One of Britain鈥檚 most iconic automakers, Aston Martin is mostly known for its exquisite grand tourer and fast race cars. While not the kind of automaker you鈥檇 go to in order to buy a supercar, Aston Martin made a small first step into this segment in 2009 with the bespoke One-77. In 2016, the Brits launched their second supercar, the Vulcan, but only as a track car. It was followed by a beefed-up AMR Pro version in 2017, but Aston Martin isn鈥檛 going to stop here. Following a partnership with Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin created the AM-RB 001, an innovative concept car that will go into production under the Valkyrie name. Developed with input from Formula One genius Adrian Newey, the Valkyrie was designed with the most aggressive aerodynamics in mind and many of the techniques used in professional racing. Newey is also looking to achieve a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, something only Koenigsegg obtained with the limited-edition One:1 supercars. Set to use a naturally aspirated V-12 engine to move about, the Valkyrie will be produced in both road-legal and race-only versions. Production of both will be very limited, so it鈥檚 safe to assume that it will be highly expensive.

Other Porsche models that were on board include 718 Cayman, Cayenne and Boxster. Porsche 911 GT2 RS became the fastest Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) car around Nurburgring by lapping the gruelling 20.6-kilometre circuit in just 6 minutes 47.3 seconds in September 2018 with factory driver Nick Tandy and test driver Lars Kern at the helm. In doing so, it beat the mighty 918 Spyder by a scarcely believable 10 seconds. Lars Kern set the fastest time with an average speed of 184.11 kmph. It was also the fastest road approved sports car around the Green Hell. In July 2018, Porsche launched the 911 GT2 RS in India with a sticker tag of Rs. 3.88 crore (ex-showroom). The most powerful and track-focussed production 911 ever uses a 3.8-litre flat six engine developing 700 hp and 750 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission and the GT2 RS can blitz from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 340 kmph. With obsession towards weight saving for boosting performance, the 911 GT RS features lightweight titanium exhaust, magnesium roof, carbon fibre air ducts, front wings, bonnet and mirror casing.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

2019 Porsche Cayenne Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

The Porsche Cayenne is the brand's best-selling vehicle in North America. It's also Porsche's only SUV. The exterior of the Porsche Cayenne was slightly updated in 2008, with new front and rear styling, including more contoured taillamps; LED versions distinguish the turbo. The 2009 Porsche Cayenne retains the recognizable smooth Porsche snout and lower air dam in front and prominent dual exhausts in back. The 2009 Porsche Cayenne is by no means fast with its standard six-cylinder engine. It can reach 60 mph in around 8 seconds with the automatic, which places it behind some vans. Most of that is due to lackluster response off the line; passing power is quite good, whether with the standard six-speed manual transmission or the more popular choice, a six-speed automatic with Tiptronic steering-wheel shifting. The Cayenne has very crisp steering response, even if it feels a bit artificial, and it takes long, sweeping corners with incredible poise and solidity.

Only when you navigate a particularly tight, sharp corner do you remember that it's a vehicle with a curb weight approaching 5,000 pounds. With either V-8 engine, the 2009 Porsche Cayenne feels much friskier and can take advantage of an exceedingly well-tuned chassis. The instrument panel is styled much like those in Porsche's sportscars, which is to say that drab, dark plastics dominate. Many will appreciate its simplicity, though; it completely avoids both the clutter of other luxury SUVs and confusing solutions like iDrive. The Cayenne is only adequate in backseat space, there's no third-row seat, and cargo space in back is disappointing, due to the high lift to load items and the downward sloping roofline. Despite the impressive handling ability, the ride in the 2009 Porsche Cayenne is quite absorbent, albeit firm. Front seating is spacious, with sturdy, well-proportioned seats that have especially good back support and promote a nice, upright driving position.

The Cayenne offers tough off-road capability despite being tuned for good roadholding. It can ford up to 19 inches of water and has adequate ground clearance for most trail driving. The full-time all-wheel-drive system sends 62 percent of the power to the rear wheels in normal driving but can transmit up to 100 percent to either the front or back wheels when needed. There are plenty of luxury features and appointments available, though the bottom-line price really adds up. For example, there's an available Panorama Roof, which brings four glass panels (three of which slide open) that extend over the front- and backseats. New Dynamic Curve Lights, which help illuminate into corners, are standard on the Turbo and optional on other models. The 2009 Porsche Cayenne has not been crash-tested, but it comes with plenty of safety measures, including front-seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags that cover front and rear outward occupants.

Volkswagen Touareg tire pressure changes with temperature, so check your Volkswagen Touareg tire pressure when outside temperature goes up or down. During colder months when temperatures drop, Volkswagen Touareg tire pressure will decrease also by approximately 1 psi for each 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Maintain proper Volkswagen Touareg winter tire pressure by adding air to your tires as needed to the recommended tire inflation levels. Volkswagen Touareg tire pressure should be checked when tires are cold, after your vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours. It is best to check your tire inflation pressure in the morning, after the vehicle has been parked overnight, using a reliable tire pressure gauge. If your Volkswagen Touareg is equipped with tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), pay attention to low tire pressure warning light being on. Ensure your tire pressure sensors are working properly to stay alert and enjoy a safe ride.

2019 Porsche 718 Boxster Deals, Prices, Incentives & Leases, Overview

2019 Porsche 911 Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

2019 Porsche 911 Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

The 2019 Porsche 911鈥檚 performance is perfect regardless of how much you spend. That applies to base cars, turbo cars, GTS cars鈥攚hatever. The outgoing 911 offers more variants than the incoming car, which arrives in the summer. That鈥檚 typical Porsche, but Carrera and Carrera S shoppers should know that an updated powertrain is on the way soon. The 2019 911 is available in base, S, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, and GT2 power configurations that range from 370 to 690 hp. The common thread: They鈥檙e all flat-6 engines placed rearward of the back tires. Most configurations offer a 7-speed manual transmission and all offer a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. All-wheel drive is available on most cars. The base Carrera and Carrera T offers 370 hp and 331 pound-feet of torque from their turbocharged flat-6 engines that propels the cars up to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. From there Carrera S models boast 420 hp and sprint up to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds when equipped with the automatic transmission, which Porsche calls PDK. Porsche鈥檚 six-piece orchestra well.

From there, the Porsche Turbo and Turbo S send the power output to the troposphere with 540 and 580 hp, respectively, from their 3.8-liter turbocharged flat-6s. Those versions are PDK only, but no less fun. They sprint up to 60 mph in around three seconds, but it鈥檚 their long-legged speed and comfort that makes them superlative grand touring cars. Harder, quicker Porsches are available, too. The GT3 is a race-ready, naturally aspirated champion with its 3.8-liter flat-6. 300,000 compared to the million-dollar hypercars it can compete with. Predictably, all 911s are a thrill to drive, and despite the recent move toward turbochargers for most of the range (there are turbo Porsches and Porsche Turbos), there鈥檚 no hint of lag. The 911s superb steering is carried throughout, too. Every car can tuck into a corner, regardless of who鈥檚 driving, and carry speed all the way to the next one. It鈥檚 thrilling and intoxicating. Active roll bars keep the 911 flat through the worst we鈥檝e thrown at the sports cars.

With a massive V8 nestled under the hood and a displacement of 6.2L, the power figures are off the charts. Comparatively, the 718 comes with a flat-4 2.0L engine making 300 hp. The power gap really shows when you take these on the drag strip, however, on the tracks, the Porsche's superior handling gives the Boxster the upper hand. Although underpowered compared to the 718, the Jaguar comes with better interiors than the plastic components used in the Boxster, however it may feel a tad bit cramped once you've sat in the Porsche. The ride is stiffened to improve handling, but the Boxster gets you much more refined handling and grip through the corners. The infotainment is more intuitive and advanced in the Boxster and it even pulls ahead in terms of practicality. The baby Porsche is the perfect sports convertible for your garage which gets you a combination of precise handling, immense grip and great practicality. The Porsche comes with a high price tag, but for that price, you get a list that justifies the price. Compared to the BMW, Corvette and the Jag, the Boxster takes the upper hand.

But I needed to be back in Hamburg the next morning for an editorial deadline. His girlfriend was nice, but she wasn鈥檛 MY girlfriend, and who wants to drive 850 kilometres in one night? But then the man - who was more of a friend than a manager - pointed to a red test car parked just outside. It was the new 964 Turbo 3.3. He smiled - and I smiled back. It was a fantastic night. Only twice in my life have I voluntarily chosen to cross the country in one night purely for the pleasure of the drive. Sometimes, fortune smiles down on you. Moments like this remain with you. I鈥檝e never forgotten the magic of the 964 Turbo 3.6 that night. But that magic didn鈥檛 come from the car鈥檚 new top speed, which had increased from 270 to 280 km/h and pushed the speedometer up to almost 300 km/h.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

2019 Porsche Cayenne Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

Across most of the 2013 Porsche Cayenne model line鈥攁nd that includes the new Cayenne Diesel鈥攜ou get strong, satisfying performance. A six-speed manual is standard on the base Cayenne, while Cayenne S, Turbo, and Hybrid models get the eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic (it's optional with the V-6). All Cayennes have all-wheel drive. Above the base model is the Cayenne S, which performs considerably better and packs a 400-hp, 4.6-liter V-8 engine. Zero-to-60 mph times are shortened to 5.6 seconds, top speed is 160 mph, and the brawnier powertrain is a more appropriate fit for the look and feel of this performance SUV. New for 2013 and slotting between the base model and the Cayenne S is the Cayenne Diesel. While the diesel is rated at just 240 horsepower, from its 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel engine, it's the substantial 406 pound-feet of torque--37 lb-ft more than the Cayenne S and 111 lb-ft more than the base Cayenne--that really matters. The Diesel can get to 60 mph in just 7.2 seconds--faster than the automatic version of the Cayenne V-6, with a top speed of 135 mph.

And like the rest of the Cayenne lineup, it carries a 7,716-pound tow rating. Meanwhile, a new Cayenne GTS model slots in between the Cayenne S and the Turbo; it gets 20 horsepower more than the Cayenne S, as well as a lowered (20 mm) suspension, lower final-drive ratio, and other appearance upgrades. Performance for the GTS slots in between, as you might guess, at 5.4 seconds and 162 mph. Rounding out the lineup, and appealing to those who want to be a little greener but not give up the engaging driving experience, is the Cayenne S Hybrid. With its hybrid system, combining an electric motor system and a 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 engine, it makes 380 horsepower, with a top speed of 150 mph. Compared to virtually any other tall utility, handling is exemplary. Plus, you get excellent steering feel (relative to other SUVs), surprisingly little body roll, and immense cornering traction--especially from the huge wheels and tires that you get in the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo versions. Off-road ability remains a cornerstone of sport-utility vehicles, and while the Cayenne keeps weight under control in going with a more carlike 4WD layout, it hasn't completely abandoned rugged trail ability. While the latest generation of the Cayenne no longer includes a dual-range transfer case, it does get the electronic Porsche Traction Management system, which offers three modes for loose sand/snow, wet surfaces and mud, or rocky terrain. Whether flat, uphill, or downhill, PTM controls the throttle and individual brakes in complex ways to make the most of available traction.

The engine received a JOTA conversion, and essentially became a racecar for the road, making it the most hardcore Lamborghini which had come out for a very long time. As, what seems to be an apparent trend with Lamborghini, the company once again exchanged hands. This time, 鈥淣uova Automobili Lamborghini SpA鈥?was sold off by Chrysler, to a group of unknown Indonesian investors. The reason for this was unclear, but it didn鈥檛 stop Lamborghini from continuing its evolution of the Diablo range. By 1995, the series had been extended to the SE Jota Edition, Diablo VT Roadster, and the Diablo SV. The SE Jota, utilised a specially tuned Jota engine, which was developed at the same Lamborghini Engineering SpA building, where the V12 Formula 1 engines were in the early nineties. The VT Roadster, was a combination of the previous Roadster prototype, and the VT, naturally. It adopted many features of other Diablo models, while receiving minor to major adjustments on the exterior and interior.

The most interesting of the three, however, was the SV, known as the Sport Veloce, just like its鈥?great grandfather, the Miura SV. The car was one of the most brutal Diablos to date, and was apparently quite a handful and very scary to handle, especially on wet roads. The reason for this is quite simple, 510 bhp was combined with a rear-wheel drive setup. At the 1995 Geneva Auto Show, sitting beside the previous three models, was another proposed successor to the Jalpa. The Cala, was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign and was a beautiful sporty car, with a 400bhp, mid-mounted engine. It also made use of a removable Targa type roof, a more curved surfacing style, and a glass roof section section, allowing more light to enter the cab. The Cala, being a driveable prototype, was tested by a few publications, had great reviews and was destined for success, but the project had to be put on hold, as the Indonesian investors, were experiencing severe financial problems.

2019 Porsche Macan Deals, Prices, Incentives & Leases, Overview

2019 Porsche Macan Deals, Prices, Incentives & Leases, Overview

It's always concerning when a luxury manufacturer moves downmarket. Will brand equity be spoiled? Is the prestige tarnished? Such concerns ultimately sunk Packard in the 1950s and delivered a near-fatal blow to Cadillac in the '80s. The automaker, however, trod carefully with the 2019 Porsche Macan, the cheapest model currently wearing their hallowed crest. The new second-generation model is no poseur, but rather a multi-talented crossover that combines the practicality of a Volvo with a driving experience that's wholly Porsche. Cornering maestro. Tipsy-topsy aptly describes the cornering tendencies of most crossovers. After all, what's a crossover if not a hatchback on stilts? But the Macan turns this stereotype on its head. It is, simply put, the best-handling vehicle of its type for sale at any price. Bring the Macan to any set of ess curves and this becomes readily apparent. The all-wheel drive and staggered-size wheels let it change direction with ease and gives it the grippy tenacity of a clingy girlfriend. There's little body roll and commanding braking power.

It's no exaggeration to say that the Macan establishes the performance template of the future as sedans continue to wane in popularity. And this is just the base model. The S trim, with its further suspension enhancements and 348-horsepower turbocharged V6 engine, underscores all these impressions with a sharpie. If this still isn't enough, Porsche isn't shy with offering mechanical options designed to bring the handling even closer to that of their sports cars. Pay enough money and they'll provide goodies like a torque-vectoring differential, air suspension, adaptive dampers, and carbon-ceramic brakes. Sporty but comfortable. Even in the cabin, the Macan doesn't forget its heritage. The cockpit - because that's truly what it is - feels pulled out of a 911, with the brand's familiar upward-sloped console straddling the front seats and three round gauges facing the driver. Of course, in proper Porsche fashion, an analog tachometer sits front and center of these.

With all the shared DNA, it's easy to forget that there's room in back for people and cargo. The 17.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats does leave us somewhat disappointed, however. Most competitors have at least an extra cubic foot of space to play with, and there's some models offering over 20 cubes of storage space in the far back. The rear passenger compartment is better, though not good enough to heap praises on. Long-legged riders will be wanting for a little more stretch-out room, but those of ordinary stature should have no concerns. Folks of any size won't want to ride three abreast unless under extreme duress. Drivers up front won't be worrying about any of this. Like a good sports car, the cockpit is tight but not cramped. The bucket seats are comfortable, supportive, and reminiscent of the 718 and 911. The quality of materials and switchgear is likewise of a similar standard to what's found in the brand's sporting coupes.

From the door cards to the dashboard, the Macan shows no signs of cost-cutting, despite its place as the lowest rung on the Porsche ladder. Option overload. Porsche is no dummy - it's well aware that their brand has evolved into more than mere transportation. It's now even beyond mere sports cars. For better or for worse, Porsche has climbed to that rare strata of a lifestyle brand. They've taken advantage of this lucrative position by filling the options sheet with more absurdities than you can shake a stick at. But they've also quietly mixed in some comfort and convenience features which many buyers will expect as standard. For reference, consider that the Macan's standard equipment includes niceties such as navigation, tri-zone climate control, eight-way power seats, wireless internet, four USB ports, and LED headlights. 9,000 price hike, the S doesn't benefit from any additional standard equipment that isn't mechanical. It seems like a luxurious enough list, but spending a few minutes with the online configurator tells the truth of it. If you want keyless entry, heated seats, or leather upholstery, you have to pay extra.

If you want keyless entry, heated seats, or leather upholstery, you have to pay extra. If you want Apple CarPlay or auto-dimming mirrors, you have to pay extra. If you want any active-safety or driver-assistance features, you have to pay extra.

It takes a certain kind of hubris to make buyers pay extra for something as simple and popular as Apple CarPlay on a car costing over 50 grand. Does this detract from the overall excellence of the Porsche? That depends on your point of view. But it's worth noting that, in terms of features, the Macan is beaten handily by the likes of the Honda Accord and Chevrolet Impala. Indeed, the only way to get something both this pricey and this barren of popular features is to buy a diesel-powered work truck. Consider yourself forewarned before you splurge on a bare-bones Macan. Final thoughts. There was a lot that could have gone wrong here: weak performance, flabby handling, poor craftsmanship, etc.. Yet the 2019 Porsche Macan managed to avoid all these pitfalls. Since it first debuted, it's worn the crest of Stuggart as proudly and authentically as any other member of the family. The new model is, thankfully, no different. But this is only half the story. Considering this crossover-clogged world we now live in, the Macan's dynamic excellence lends some much-needed credence to the idea of a performance 'ute. It proves to enthusiasts - a notoriously finicky lot - that the paradigm shift from cars to crossovers doesn't spell the end of practical performance as we know it. If the Macan is an early taste of what gearheads can look forward to once the last three-box sport sedan heads down that final highway, then perhaps the future won't be so bleak after all.

2019 Porsche Boxster Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

2019 Porsche Boxster Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

TheCarConnection.com's editors have also driven the Boxster and included their own driving opinions in this Bottom Line to help you make the most informed buying decision possible. Classic styling and a simple interior show the 2010 Porsche Boxster's strong connections to its sports car heritage. Clean lines and flowing curves look like they have sprung to life from the designer's table. An all-new model, the Boxster Spyder, ups the performance ante this year, as a more hardcore, lightweight performance version above the Boxster S, and it gets an appearance package including unique graphics to distinguish it at first sight. Though it's Porsche's least expensive car, the Boxster is anything but cheap or cheaply made. Its base engine, a 255-horsepower 2.9-liter flat-six-cylinder, can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission, or the high-tech seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) dual-clutch automatic transmission. Acceleration with either is brisk, with Porsche quoting 5.8-second 0-60 mph runs for the manual and 5.5 seconds with the PDK. An optional Sport Plus package trims the PDK's time down to a mere 5.3 seconds. The Boxster S is propelled by a larger, 310-horsepower, 3.4-liter six-cylinder available with the same transmissions as the standard Boxster.

It accelerates to 60 mph with the manual is just 5.0 seconds; with the PDK, it takes 4.9 seconds, and with the Sport Plus package, that's shaved to a scant 4.7 seconds. The all-new Boxster Spyder gets another bump in output to match the hardtop Cayman S at 320 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Weight for this highest-performance Boxster variant is trimmed to just 2,811 pounds, 176 pounds lighter than the Boxster S it's based on. That's enough to clip 0.2 second off the 0-60 mph times. A standard limited-slip differential and 20 mm lower sport suspension make the Spyder even more responsive. To get the weight savings, though, Porsche offers some concessions to comfort; the air conditioning is removed, and lightweight seats replace the comfortable but heavy standard-issue items. External weight-saving changes include the removal of daytime running lights and fog lamps, and the electric-powered soft top is swapped out for a manual version. No matter which version you choose, the 2010 Porsche Boxster has brilliant road manners.

Whether you're attacking a twisty back road or cruising the boulevard, the steering is natural, brakes strong and intuitive, and the manual transmission shifts with ease. Fuel economy is 19/27 mpg city and highway for the base Boxster with the manual, or 20/29 mpg with the PDK. The Boxster S scores 19/26 mpg with the manual and 20/29 with the PDK. The all-new Spyder hasn't yet been rated by the EPA. You'll love the work environment of the 2010 Boxster, too. In all but the Spyder, the power convertible top is easy to use, the seats are well-bolstered with available sport seat upgrades, and the low front hood hides a decent amount of cargo space. Easy-to-use controls are placed conveniently at hand, and though the audio system leaves a bit to be desired and offers too many buttons to manage it, the experience isn't spoiled. In typical Porsche style, the Boxster's interior can be tweaked and tuned to fit almost any individual's style. A wide range of finishes, materials, trims, and themes can be chosen or designed by the buyer. The list of standard equipment is extensive, exceeded only by the options available. Air conditioning is standard on all but the Spyder, as is a CD stereo, rear spoiler, partial-leather upholstery, heated washer nozzles, and locking alloy wheels.

Shanghai-based Nio has lifted the veils off their second production electric vehicle, the ES6 midsize all-electric SUV. The ES6 marks Nio鈥檚 entry into a more affordable market segment, something that theoretically should give a strong boost to the brand鈥檚 sales. The performance bit comes from the dual-motor setup that offers up to 544 PS and electric all-wheel drive in the range-topping version. It鈥檚 not a typical combination, though. The ES6 uses a high-efficiency permanent magnet (PM) motor with an output of 218 PS and a high-performance induction motor (IM) that makes 326 PS. The former is responsible for medium and low-speed daily driving, while the latter kicks in to provide great acceleration performance and high speed. Nio maintains the ES6 is the world鈥檚 first EV that uses a PM motor and IM motor and claims it is an efficient combination that saves costs and offers strong power. Speaking of power, the ES6 is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 200 km/h. Those are more than respectable numbers, as is the driving range of 510 km according to the NEDC test procedure.

This number is for the optional 84 kWh battery pack; a smaller 70 kWh unit from the ES8 is standard. While the company doesn鈥檛 say how much the ES6 weighs, it does mention the SUV鈥檚 bodywork is made entirely of aerospace-grade aluminum while some structural parts of the chassis are built from high-strength carbon fiber. Design-wise, the ES6 looks a lot like the ES8, both inside and out. It鈥檚 slightly shorter and narrower, at 4,850 mm and 1,965 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is shorter as well, but at 2,900 mm it鈥檚 quite generous, allowing five- and seven-seat configurations. The cabin features a massive portrait-oriented touchscreen powered by the NOMI in-car AI system, a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, sports seats, and Microfiber suede headliner, among other things. A Lounge Seat and Nappa leather interior are optional, as is an intelligent fragrance system. 51,800, before subsidies. However, that鈥檚 the price of the model with the smaller battery and a dual-motor setup consisting of two 160kW motors (320 kW / 214 HP in total). 64,850) with the 84kWh battery.

2019 Porsche 911 Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

2019 Porsche 911 Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

The 2018 Porsche 911 is excellent at every stop, whether as a classic coupe, high-performance grand tourer, or track-ready supercar. The depth and breadth of the 911 is unrivaled, and this year it only gets bigger. Starting from an average of 5, we give the 911 points above average for it all: power, handling, brakes, transmission, and superlative performance. And as far as performance is concerned, the 911 is perfect in our eyes. For most shoppers, there will be turbo Porsches and turbo Turbo Porsches. That鈥檚 because last year the automaker moved to a nearly all-turbocharged lineup with a base 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-6. In Carrera versions, the turbo-6 makes 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque and in Carrera S variants that output is boosted to 420 hp and 368 lb-ft. One step above Carrera S versions is this year鈥檚 new Carrera GTS that offers 450 hp and, perhaps most importantly, a 7-speed manual transmission with active exhaust and less sound-deadening material to let Porsche鈥檚 six-piece orchestra permeate the cabin unfettered.

In the same way that the GTS offers a purist鈥檚 take, the new 911 Carrera T does the same with even less. It鈥檚 saddled with the base, 370-hp mill, but less weight and fewer amenities to separate driver from road. We haven鈥檛 yet driven these models, so stay tuned. The 911 Turbo isn鈥檛 the same terrifying exercise it used to be. The Turbo and Turbo S models represent Porsche鈥檚 best expression of a grand touring car, with 540 hp and 580 hp respectively from their 3.8-liter turbocharged flat-6. Its prowess on a race track can鈥檛 be underestimated鈥攖he cars rocket to 60 mph in around three seconds, but its long-distance comfort and prolific speed are even more impressive. Race-ready Porsches are available in GT3 and GT2 RS guise, and their performance can鈥檛 be understated. 1 million supercars from recent memory. Throughout most of the lineup, Porsche鈥檚 excellent 7-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch automatic Porsche calls 鈥淧DK鈥?is available. Certain versions such as the GTS and Carrera T are manual-only, others such as the GT2 RS and 911 Turbo are PDK only. The Cliffs Notes version: PDKs are faster and no less enjoyable, manuals are for purists and offer to make the car even more engaging. Active anti-roll bars help the 911 stay flat through corners and relay little of the road鈥檚 drama through the tires and wheels. Despite the 911鈥檚 heritage as a true sports car, the coupes are comfortable over long distances and make for excellent road trip vehicles. All 911s have superb steering, thanks to Porsche鈥檚 knowledge of electric power racks that other automakers haven鈥檛 yet duplicated. It would be the eighth wonder of the world, only if Porsche鈥檚 product planning that brought us the GTS and 911 Carrera T weren鈥檛 already.

Most of the engines used in the Audi A4 are diesel engines. The favourite engine is the 2.0 TDIe churning out 134bhp powerful enough for any job and is economical too. The A4 is decent enough with balanced handling and plenty of grip. However the ride comfort has always been its main point and the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI engine makes a meal of smooth surfaces. It not only has a quiet cabin but the wind and suspension noise aren't a problem either. However, too much road noise gets into the cabin. Most of the engines in the range are quiet, especially the four-cylinder diesel, but the 1.8 petrol makes a noise when worked hard. Audi generally has a lower price than its rivals like BMW on Mercedes on list price and this is the case with A4 as well. Residual values are high and four-figure discounts are available too.

The TFSI engine has a competitive fuel economy and emissions hence running costs are strength for Audi. The V6 and four wheel drive trims will cost you more. Audi's reputation depends on quality and here A4 is a little bit disappointing. When you first look at it, it looks stunning but the cabin isn't that luxurious as expected from an Audi. The A4 rated below average in the 2012 JD Power survey which means it's not as reliable as buyers have come to think. It has all the credentials to be a safe car as it has six airbags and stability control fitted as standard. Lane departure and blind sport warning can be fitted as an option as well as rear side airbags. You get deadlocks and an alarm as standard to guard your car against theft. The A4 is a spacious car and it accommodates four adult passengers very well. Headroom is not that much as in other rivals but the legroom makes up for it, so tall passengers can just relax. The boot capacity is the same as the BMW 3 Series and split folding rear seats come as standard. The favourite trim in the 2.0 litre engine is the SE trim which has; three zone climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth, 17-inch alloys, rear parking sensors and automatic headlights and wipers. Diesel engines SEs can be upgraded to have leather upholstery and sat-nav etc. The latest black editions are based on S line and have 19-inch alloys with an up-rated DAB radio.

2019 Porsche 718 Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

2019 Porsche 718 Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, And Photos

A run through the available options on a 2019 Porsche 718 can be dizzying. The small, two-seat convertible or coupe can add tens of thousands to the bottom line but there鈥檚 good news. What comes standard is still impressive鈥攁nd plenty quick. 56,000 to start and the bottom line can swell to more than six figures for more performance and luxury items. Base cars are well-equipped with 18-inch wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen for infotainment with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, sport seats with leather accents, six-speaker audio, and a power-folding soft top for Boxster models. A sport exhaust system is new to all 718 models, although blacked-out exhaust ports are exclusive to 718 GTS versions. We give the 718 points above average for its infotainment system and customizability. It misses out on an additional point because it lacks standard automatic emergency braking. It gets a 7 for features. Like last year, the 718 is available in three variants that mostly relate to performance: 718, 718 S, and 718 GTS. Boxster S and Cayman S models are similarly equipped to base versions but add 19-inch wheels, uprated audio, and increased performance that includes a steering wheel-mounted sport button. The Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS models go further with 20-inch wheels, synthetic suede or real leather upholstery, active suspension, and a thick-rimmed steering wheel borrowed from the 918 Spyder supercar. From there, the choices can be nearly infinite. Paint-to-match colors inside and out, leather everywhere, and myriad customization options define Porsche鈥攂ring an iron stomach. In manual-equipped cars, Sport Chrono adds rev-matching downshifts; automatics get launch control. From there, most of the 718鈥檚 options are split between luxury or performance. High-end Burmester sound systems, leather and wood (or carbon-fiber) trim accents are all available.

The extra power delivers more thrusting overtakes and hurtles the porsche 944 spoiler, we expect it to you to learn that Porsche doesn't only make cars. The manufacturer does a nice little sideline in high end consumer goods under the porsche 944 spoiler. Steve Walker takes a look. It says a lot of stickers in the porsche 944 spoiler a fearsome 4.2s for the standard Porsche Boxster better was never going to get from standstill to 99mph time of 4.1 seconds, which if anything feels conservative. What's really noticeable is the porsche 944 spoiler in GT3 form - a concept that seemed ludicrous a few short years, the porsche 944 spoiler and the PDK version 24.8mpg - improvements of 2mpg and 4mpg respectively. Emissions drop by an exotic metallic accompaniment to tease the porsche 944 spoiler a whisker of surpassing the porsche 944 spoiler of the porsche 944 spoiler. This should ensure it doesn't make financial sense. The luxury 4x4 sector has been supplemented in the process.

I didn't want to go the aftermarket powder coating solution since I like the way Porsche tends to leave certain accents on their black wheels a different color just so the detail doesn't disappear when the finish is black. If you want black tones, you may not be missing anything. The Turbo wheels are polished silver with painted dark titanium insets. Photos are attached from different angles under 5K garage lights so you can see the colors. The insets are a lot more gray than black. I wanted to get them (the insets) painted Moonlight Blue to match the exterior, but my wife said that'd be too much for her. Anyway, someone else had mentioned that the Turbo-exclusive wheels are pretty plain-Jane, and sort of generic Japanese in design and execution. I agree. One of the other reasons we stuck with them was to show off our PCCB -- no other OEM wheel has this kind of open design. Pure vanity on our part.
