Aston Martin Valkyrie: Latest News, Reviews, Specifications, Prices, Photos And Videos

The most innovative supercar yet? One of Britain鈥檚 most iconic automakers, Aston Martin is mostly known for its exquisite grand tourer and fast race cars. While not the kind of automaker you鈥檇 go to in order to buy a supercar, Aston Martin made a small first step into this segment in 2009 with the bespoke One-77. In 2016, the Brits launched their second supercar, the Vulcan, but only as a track car. It was followed by a beefed-up AMR Pro version in 2017, but Aston Martin isn鈥檛 going to stop here. Following a partnership with Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin created the AM-RB 001, an innovative concept car that will go into production under the Valkyrie name. Developed with input from Formula One genius Adrian Newey, the Valkyrie was designed with the most aggressive aerodynamics in mind and many of the techniques used in professional racing. Newey is also looking to achieve a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, something only Koenigsegg obtained with the limited-edition One:1 supercars. Set to use a naturally aspirated V-12 engine to move about, the Valkyrie will be produced in both road-legal and race-only versions. Production of both will be very limited, so it鈥檚 safe to assume that it will be highly expensive.

Other Porsche models that were on board include 718 Cayman, Cayenne and Boxster. Porsche 911 GT2 RS became the fastest Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) car around Nurburgring by lapping the gruelling 20.6-kilometre circuit in just 6 minutes 47.3 seconds in September 2018 with factory driver Nick Tandy and test driver Lars Kern at the helm. In doing so, it beat the mighty 918 Spyder by a scarcely believable 10 seconds. Lars Kern set the fastest time with an average speed of 184.11 kmph. It was also the fastest road approved sports car around the Green Hell. In July 2018, Porsche launched the 911 GT2 RS in India with a sticker tag of Rs. 3.88 crore (ex-showroom). The most powerful and track-focussed production 911 ever uses a 3.8-litre flat six engine developing 700 hp and 750 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission and the GT2 RS can blitz from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 340 kmph. With obsession towards weight saving for boosting performance, the 911 GT RS features lightweight titanium exhaust, magnesium roof, carbon fibre air ducts, front wings, bonnet and mirror casing.
