Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI
Intake camshaft adjustment
NOTE:
- A fault entry is made if the actual value deviates from the setpoint value by > 10 ° camshaft angle or if adjustment takes place more slowly
than expected.
- An equalizing function for the camshaft of the other bank is already activated for small deviations.
2010 Porsche Cayenne Turbo (9PA) V8-4.8L Turbo Page 4
- As a result of the equalizing function, a fault entry may be made for the other camshaft if this also deviates from the actual setpoint value by >
10 ° camshaft angle.
Diagnostic conditions
- Perform a short test
or:
- Vehicle voltage > 10 V
- Engine oil temperature -10 °C ... 120 °C (14 °F ... 248 °F)
- Engine speed 1,200 rpm ... 6,000 rpm
- No detection of fault P0010, P0020, P2088, P2089, P2092, P2093
Possible fault causes
- Solenoid hydraulic valve faulty
--> (e.g., mechanical fault or dirt in the oil circuit)
- Oil pressure too low
--> (e.g., due to oil dilution, oil thickening, wrong oil quality, fault in oil pressure control or oil pump)
- Intake camshaft adjuster faulty
- Camshaft stuck (incorrect or faulty installation)
