Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI
Position of crankshaft in relation to intake camshaft, bank 2
NOTE: The fault is detected if the specified adaptation range is left.
Diagnostic conditions-
- Battery positive voltage between 9 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
Possible fault causes
- Timing set incorrectly
- Chain extended
- Camshaft sensor loose
- Cylinder head cover incorrectly aligned
(first fit bar ignition modules on the spark plugs, then screw tight cylinder head covers)
- Rotor of intake camshaft sensor, bank 2, in incorrect position
- Intake camshaft sensor, bank 2, not installed correctly
