Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI
Heater circuit, oxygen sensor behind cat. converter, bank X
NOTE: Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor plug connections, as this may cause irreparable damage to the wiring (blocking the reference
air channels).
NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in
implausible fault entries.
Diagnostic conditions
- Engine running
- Oxygen sensor heater control active > 60 seconds
- Lambda control active
- No driver fault of oxygen sensor stored
Possible fault causes
- Contact resistance between DME control unit and oxygen sensor heater behind catalytic converter, bank X

- Contact resistance between fuse FE 17 (fuse carrier in plenum panel E-box) and oxygen sensor heater behind catalytic converter, bank X
- High resistance shunt to signal line
- Oxygen sensor faulty
