Information:
Complaint "Vehicle leaning to one side or Leveling system issue".
At cold outside temperatures, condensed water can freeze in the leveling system and cause problems.
Information In the event of one of the following complaints:
^ Vehicle leaning to one side,
^ Leveling system function not available or
^ Warning message "Chassis system failure" in the instrument cluster
please check the following point before starting any other work:
--> If the problem occurred at cold outside temperatures (well below freezing point/temperature range < ?5° C/5° F),
the vehicle should be left parked outside (cold outside temperatures required) overnight.
The next day, when the leveling system is cold, check whether the symptom is still present or can be repeated.
Work Procedure:
1. The symptom is still present:
--> Park the vehicle overnight again in a warm area (> 0° C/32° F).

2. After leaving the vehicle overnight, check the function of the system again: If, after carrying out this procedure, the symptom:
^ is no longer present, continue with step 4,
^ is still present, continue with step 3
3. Replace air spring on the affected spring strut:
3.1 Remove the spring struts affected by the problem (e.g. "Front left of vehicle lying to one side/too low" --> front left spring strut), see  -->
