P0137

P0137

Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI

Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, bank 1, below limit value

NOTE: Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor's plug connections as this will result in irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of

reference air duct).

NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in

implausible fault entries.

Diagnostic conditions

- No secondary air

- No secondary air diagnosis

- No tank ventilation

- No tank ventilation diagnosis

- No other faults stored

- Engine at operating temperature

- Then drive for 2 min. (mass air flow > 10 kg/h)

- then > 30 sec. Engine idling

Possible fault causes

- Short to ground in signal line

- Short circuit between lines

- Oxygen sensor faulty (short circuit)

Affected contacts on the DME control unit connector

P0138

Diagnosis information - DME V8 DFI

Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, bank 1, above limit value

NOTE: Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor's plug connections as this will result in irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of

reference air duct).

NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in
