Switch on the ignition.
Display: 0 V
13. Connect voltmeter to disconnection point, pin 5, and ground.
Switch on the ignition.
Display: 0 V
14. Connect voltmeter to disconnection point, pin 6, and ground.
Switch on the ignition.
Display: 0 V
If battery voltage is displayed for points 12 to 14, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.
5 Perform adaptation.
1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Wait one minute.
Do not press the accelerator.
3. Switch off the ignition for at least 10 seconds.
4. Read out the fault memory.

Diagnosis conditions
- Ignition on (approx. 30 sec.)
- Battery positive voltage greater than 7 V
Possible fault cause
- Short circuit to ground
- Pedal sensor

NOTE:
- The system operates in pedal sensor standby mode, i.e. the angle of the accelerator pedal is calculated from the residual position sensor signal.
- The maximum pedal value is limited to 30 %.
- The dynamic is limited.
