Concerns: Ignition coil with Part Nos. 997.602.104.00 and 997.602.107.00



Information:



Procedure for replacing faulty ignition coils.



Cracks in the ignition coil housing (--> Figure 1) can cause corrosion, which can result in a rough-running engine and misfiring.



Action Required:

If at least one ignition coil is diagnosed as faulty, the designation (with or without "EM 10", --> Figure 2) must be read off all ignition coils.



Depending on the designation ("EM 10") on the faulty ignition coil, either all ignition coils or a single ignition coil must be replaced, --> see



"Procedure".

The ignition coils with the designation "EM 10" can be ordered now using the parts catalog (PET). There is no additional identification for the new



ignition coils in the PET.
