  Oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter, bank 2

  
  

  NOTE: Do not use contact spray on the oxygen sensor's plug connections as this will result in irreparable damage to the lines (blockage of reference air duct).

  
  

  NOTE: Do not interchange the oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in implausible fault entries.

  
  

  Diagnostic conditions

• No fault P1155 stored
• Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
• Time after engine starts > 10 minutes
• Lambda control active
• Constant driving for at least one minute on a level road surface, without load shifts or gear changes
• Speed range between 70 km/h (43 mph) and 120 km/h (75 mph)
  
  

  Diagnostic conditions - V6

• Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
• Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
  
  

  Possible fault causes

• Nernst voltage line short circuit to ground
• Oxygen sensor ahead of catalytic converter faulty (internal short circuit or inter-core short circuit)
