  NOTE: Diagnosis should indicate a negative deviation (leaning) of more than 30% of the lambda control adaptation in the lower load range (FRAU > 0.7).

  
  

  Diagnostic conditions

• Battery positive voltage between 10 V and 16 V
• Lambda control active
• Engine temperature > 60 °C (140 °F)
• Engine load > 24 %
• Mass airflow > 240 kg/h
  
  

  Possible fault causes

• Incorrect main filling signal from hot-film mass air flow sensor (setpoint voltage with stopped engine and ignition on =0.9 ... 1.1 V)
• Fuel pressure too high
• Mechanical fault of fuel injector(s) (leak)
