Diagnosis information - DME V6 DFI Pump driver DLDP
NOTE:
If the connector B is disconnected from the DFI control unit and the ignition is switched on or was switched on, the fault >>DFI control unit TIMEOUT<< is entered in many control units.NOTE:
If the control unit connector B is disconnected from the DFI during fault finding or if the power supply is interrupted elsewhere (battery, fuse), teaching of the throttle valve adjusting unit must be performed.Diagnostic conditions
- Battery positive voltage between 9 V and 16 V
- Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
Possible fault causes
- Vacuum system leaking--> The system consists of the mechanical vacuum pump (on the vehicle engine), the brake booster, etc., the leakage diagnosis pump, the intake pipe switch-over valve and, where appropriate, the exhaust flaps in the rear muffler
- Vacuum pump faulty
- Fuse F18 faulty (fuse carrier at left of dashboard)
- Open circuit in voltage supply of leakage diagnosis pump
- Open circuit in control line of leakage diagnosis pump
- Leakage diagnosis pump faulty (resistance too great)
- Open circuit at connection point KE3 contact 9
