Information:



Clicking noises can occur in the area of the upper spring strut mount when the wheels are steered with the vehicle stationary, e.g. when parking. A



new axial grooved ball bearing has been installed in production on March 14, 2000, starting with the following VINs:

In case of complaints on earlier vehicles, a new style bearing and back-up ring must be installed.

Using the old style back-up ring, part number, 996 343 517 01 EMO in conjunction with new style axial grooved bearing, part number, 996 343



515 05 will damage the spring strut mount.Caution!
