English Hopeful Completes Supercars Test

English Hopeful Completes Supercars Test

England's Abbie Eaton has successfully taken the first steps on her path to becoming a Supercars driver. The 26-year-old got behind the wheel of a Walkinshaw Andretti United Holden at Winton Motor Raceway in Victoria on Tuesday for a driver evaluation day. It's the first time Eaton has driven a Supercar as she explores options to compete in the Dunlop Super2 support category. The experienced GT machinery and production car racer said the experience was everything she'd hoped. Eaton, part of the driving cast for Amazon TV show The Grand Tour, has outlined an ambition to one day compete in Supercars. She said she remains committed to spending two or three years learning the ropes in the Super2 series before aiming for a drive in the main category. Eaton was testing along with Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Series champion Jaxon Evans, with the pair completing roughly 120 laps between them. While Evans has plans to drive overseas next year, an impressed Walkinshaw Andretti United co-team principal Mathew Nilsson said his team would be keen to explore future options with Eaton. Eaton's next test will be at Queensland Raceway next week with Matt Stone Racing.

A stone鈥檚 throw away from Giants stadium in downtown San Francisco parked an unassuming Midnight Silver Metallic Tesla Model 3, only this one was loaded with a real game-changer. Sure, one can argue that there鈥檚 no replacement for the entertainment value that comes by way of Tesla鈥檚 in-car fart-on-demand app and its Classic Atari games, but they would be sorely mistaken. Stay ahead of the curve and be the first to learn industry trends. Follow along as our team gives you their take on the biggest stories of the week. Tesla Arcade has taken the richness and interactive gameplay of traditional mobile apps and gaming consoles and made them available directly inside the vehicle.

Check. Ability to unlock secret boss levels? Absolutely. And do this while challenging a passenger (or perhaps, one day, other outside players) in multi-player mode? It鈥檚 all there. And this can all be experienced in full surround sound with active feedback from the vehicle鈥檚 steering wheel which doubles as a gaming controller. Playing Tesla Arcade is akin to gaming in the world鈥檚 most realistic simulator. Well. Because it is. This is going to be a game-changer. 40 minutes of gameplay whizzed by before we knew it. And that, my friend, is precisely what Tesla wants. You see, by zapping away time, the feeling of having to wait while charging your car becomes non-existent. More importantly, by creating an SDK that allows app developers to interface with the vehicle鈥檚 hardware, Tesla is planting the first seeds that will sprout an iTunes-like ecosystem to support our autonomous future. We just don鈥檛 know it yet. If you think about it, it makes complete sense to have a rich library of apps and games inside a vehicle. This will especially be the case when self-driving cars become prevalent. We鈥檙e at the cusp of a massive behavioral shift toward enhanced in-car lifestyles. Tesla鈥檚 opening of a gaming SDK that allows 3rd party developers to interface with the vehicle鈥檚 hardware is a pioneering moment for an entirely new industry that is about to awaken. What do you think? Let鈥檚 chat in the comments below.

Driving a car is more than just grabbing the steering wheel and hitting the road. It is an experience that makes the car you choose to drive in, matter. A pure driving experience can only be from a vehicle that gives thought to every detail; hence the Porsche cars make for excellent sports cars. Some products limit your options, but this vehicle gives you two choices; you can go with an automatic or manual. 3210 more than the current 718 models, and it is worth the price. With an automatic, you can shift gear seamlessly, and if you are driving at high speed, then the seventh gear will reduce the engine rev significantly. If you love a manual vehicle, the 718T manual intervention comes with paddles on the steering wheel and a central gear selector from which you choose between push-to-downshift or pull-to-upshift actuation. This feature sets the 718 Boxster apart since even with the latest 2020 Porsche 911, you will not find it.

Sport driving modes, you cannot deactivate it. The car has a purist theme that enables buyers to replace the entire infotainment with a storage compartment; something that even the U.S customers would love, but unfortunately, the purist option will not make it here. As for the door handles, instead of metal, the car has fabric loops, and the seats are more of a basic unit with a minimalist two-way electronic equipment. Still, they facilitate your travel for miles without tiring. Maybe the point was to not add extra weight since installing the gasoline particulate filter already did that. The 20-inch wheels have dark paint while the lower body sides have unique decals which go hand in hand in pinning their classic look that allows buyers to place it in a class of its own. The car also has a manual lever that is shorter than other models and emblems of 鈥?18鈥?and 鈥淏oxster T鈥?in the interior.
