A new generation of Porsche 911, the 992, debuted last year in coupe form and a cabriolet followed soon thereafter. We don't know exactly which new 992 will come next, but a Turbo looks like it's not far away. At least, that's what this video of what appears to be a 992 Turbo indicates. This clip comes from walkARTvideos on YouTube, and it shows what we think is a 992 Turbo roaming the streets of Germany. It's camouflaged, of course, but the wide rear fenders, square exhaust tips and large spoiler mark it out as a Turbo and not a Carrera. The rear spoiler looks quite dramatic, with a long wing that seems to sit on top of a small ducktail. In previous Turbos the top part would raise and lower depending on speed, so it's reasonable to assume the same of this one. The new 992 Carrera models use an updated version of the previous car's 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six. We don't know what exactly will power the new Turbo, whether it's an worked-over version of the 991's 3.8-liter twin-turbo, or something entirely different. Regardless, it should be plenty powerful considering the 991 Turbo makes 540 horsepower and the Turbo S makes 580 horsepower. We could even see 600 from the 992 Turbo S, but that's just speculation. As for when we'll actually see the 992 Turbo uncovered, we're not sure. Prototypes testing on public roads indicate the car is pretty far along, but, the last Turbo arrived a little over two years after the 991 Carrera made its debut.
A 12.3-inch driver information cluster will be available in the A6 and can complement a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment and an 8.6-inch touchscreen for climate controls, when equipped. Inside, the A6 is larger with more room for passengers and cargo, and interior lighting in up to 30 different shades. Audi notes that the trunk of the A6 will hold two golf bags simultaneously. The A6 sports conservative styling next to the A7, and the overall look is evolutionary for the sedan. Following cues from the A4 and A5, the A6 is sharper than its predecessor with deeper creases and a bulging hood. Audi skipped the A4/A5's clamshell hood opening for the A6, but the larger sedan offers exterior lighting borrowed from tonier models. The A6 has its own lighting "signature" in the front and rear that takes cues from the larger cars, although it's unclear if the A6 will offer the same startup routine as the bigger sedans. The A6 should make its first appearance at the 2018 Geneva auto show next month and will go on sale in Germany in June.

The Jaguar F-Type has always been a left-field choice alongside thoroughbred sports cars like the Porsche 911. What it lacked in outright precision it more than made up for in deep-chested character. In addition, Jaguar has also announced the F-Type Chequered Flag special edition. Production isn鈥檛 limited by numbers, but instead cars will be built to order for the duration of the model year. We鈥檙e now driving said special for the first time, in rear-wheel drive P380 Coupe guise. The Chequered Flag badge has been applied to both the 2.0-litre four-cylinder and 3.0-litre V6 models to celebrate 70 years of Jaguar sports cars. The lineage started in 1948 with the legendary XK120 and stretches seven decades through D-Type, E-Type and XK150, as well as the seventies XJ-S and nineties XK8. All F-Type Chequered Flag models feature 20-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers and an SVO-spec body kit with bespoke badging. And the F-Type remains a car of unparalleled character - at least in V6 trim. The engine is raucous, and while it can鈥檛 match the almost anti-social V8 for noise, the constant underlying burble feels perfectly judged; fizzing away at idle and gargling purposefully around town. Find a piece of open road however and the engine comes alive, screaming to the redline with a soundtrack like no other. A new (or old, for that matter) 911 is sharper to drive; the steering better judged and the chassis more compliant. But that doesn鈥檛 mean the F-Type feels aged or misjudged. It鈥檚 still a fantastic all-rounder, with an excellent eight-speed automatic gearbox and acceptable motorway refinement. We tried our rear-wheel-drive Coupe back-to-back with an all-wheel-drive Convertible, and the difference was night and day. The AWD system makes the F-Type a fantastic all-weather car; where the drop-top gripped with unflappable traction, its fixed-roof sibling displayed a keen propensity to step out with all the driver aids disabled.
