This is our first look at the facelifted Audi A5 Sportback, sporting revised styling and a range of infotainment updates. The new model is expected to make its debut at September鈥檚 Frankfurt Motor Show. Overall, the shape of the Audi A5 Sportback hasn鈥檛 changed, with the Sportback getting a fresh front bumper with wider air vents, new side skirts, an updated rear bumper, revised LED headlights, tweaked tail-lights and new squared-off exhaust exits. Inside, we鈥檙e expecting the VW Group鈥檚 12.3-inch digital instrument binnacle to become standard issue, in a bid to compete with the C-Class and 3 Series for interior technology. An 8.8-inch infotainment system, powered tailgate, touchscreen controlled climate control, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto will also likely feature. Audi鈥檚 new A5 Sportback will be powered by the firm鈥檚 latest range of 2.0-litre TFSI petrol and TDI diesel engines, with power ranging between 148bhp for the least powerful models and 242bhp for the range-topping all-wheel-drive quattro version. In all but the range-topper, a choice of either a six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic gearbox will be offered. There鈥檚 also potential for Audi鈥檚 latest range of TFSI e hybrid powertrains to feature on the upcoming A5 Sportback, which should benefit fuel economy and performance. The updates will be carried across the Sportback, Coupe and Convertible range, and prices are likely to be in line with the current model, starting from around 拢35,000.
