Mercedes-Benz India has officially announced the launch of keenly-awaited AMG GT supercar on November 24, 2015 in the country. More importantly, the India-spec model would be the more powerful GT S version. Just so you know, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S would be the company's 14th launch this year in India, with one more to go as per its strategy of launching of 15 new models in 2015 in India. The AMG GT is seen as the successor to the German luxury automaker's SLS AMG supercar. Mercedes-Benz AMG GT has been engineered and developed at the company's AMG performance car division in Affalterbach, Germany. The exterior styling of the AMG GT takes cues from the SLS AMG supercar. However, one can clearly notice that AMG GT looks quite upmarket and contemporary as compared to the SLS AMG due to the disappearance of SLS鈥檚 heavy doors. Moreover, the GT S supercar is quite lighter in weight. Mercedes-AMG GT S gets the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which is a re-engineered version of Getrag gearbox used on the SLS supercar. It would transmit the power to the rear wheels of the high-performance supercar.
Top Speed of 201 miles per hour. Walther PPK not included. The Vanquish has a 60 degree dual overhead cam twelve cylinder engine displacing six liters. It sure sounds fancy, but it's not. This engine started out in life as what was essentially two mid-2000's Ford Taurus V6's placed end to end. Aston has since managed to squeeze 568 horses out of this Cosworth co-developed mill for 2015; up from 400 when first launched. Through the years Aston has made improvements to the engine, but try as it might this engine's plebeian roots have always been nipping at its heels. Two family sedan V6's doth not a super car engine make. 300,000. Instead what they have done is removed weight from the Vanquish and its VH platform in the form of more carbon fiber and advanced material. Aston has also added a Touchtronic III transmission that actually complies when you instruct it to shift via flappy paddle, instead of waiting until after tea is served like the old one. The new transmission is actually a ZF 8 speed slushbox. Since inception the Vanquish has been a never-ending cycle of improvement and special edition models. There has never been any real landmark change within the car, only slow and steady evolution. What might not suck: AMG-Mercedes is going to start supplying engines to Aston. Those Germans can make on hell of a fine motor when they want to, great beer as well. Hopefully the new AMG sourced power plant will be like the V12 used in the Pagani Zonda, equal length headers and all. With a new engine also comes the possibility of a new platform.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0. The best RS ever built? At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, Porsche will unveil its all-new 911 - codenamed 991. But a small team inside the Zuffenhausen HQ has ensured the current 997 generation goes out with a bang. A 368kW/460Nm 4.0-litre bang. Preuninger explained that the RS 4.0 was not part of the 997 development program. Not only is the RS 4.0 the last of the 997 models, its engine is the last road-going use of the classic Metzger flat six - an engine that has powered all GT3, GT3 RS and GT2 models. Not surprisingly, the naturally-aspirated six dominates the drive experience. To put its stratospheric numbers into perspective, the RS 4.0 makes 173kW and 69Nm more than the same-capacity Ford Falcon atmo six-pot. On a German autobahn the engine is so flexible that it easily and rapidly accelerates in sixth gear from 40km/h to its gearing-limited 310km/h maximum.
The rest of the package builds on the already-fabulous GT3 RS 3.8, adding the rose-jointed rear suspension from the twin-turbocharged 456kW GT2 RS. Carbonfibre was used for the bonnet and front guards, plastic for the rear screen and rear side glass. Kerb weight is just 1360kg. That's as light as a Toyota Corolla sedan, but with nearly 500 horsepower. The razor-sharp steering combines with phenomenal grip from the sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. Through sweepers on the autobahn at 250km/h, the RS 4.0 is rock solid. On tighter roads, once you've got the nose planted into a corner, you can open the throttle and unleash all 368kW. There's a hint of movement from the rear but power-down traction is beyond description. With just 600 RS 4.0s to be built, this car has guaranteed collector status. In fact, it'll be twice as rare as the 1973 RS 2.7 (a car many consider to be the greatest Porsche ever). Not only do I agree with Andreas Preuninger that this is the greatest RS, but it's also the best car I've ever driven.
Hopefully the contents of postings Articel 2019 Cars, We write this you can understand. The Lincoln MKX is currently the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, and we're extremely excited. Automotive News says it marks a return on actual names for Lincoln rather than the alphanumerics which dominate the luxury section--XT5, QX50 and so forth. We have seen this to the Continental Condo and Navigator SUV. That story states that the alphanumerics never caught up with the buying public, that had been frequently confused as to if they had been known as Mark X M-K-X, so today they are moving away. I am for this, however I wish it had been on a vehicle I cared. So far as I am concerned this item is that the enemy. It is another dull luxury crossover out of a meh manufacturer using a foundation 2.0-liter turbo engine. And it is a "crucial vehicle for China," that is most likely the sole reason Lincoln still is present, since this vehicle does not seem particularly revolutionary in an already meh section. Anyhow, love the Nautilus.
