Bye Porsche... And My Story
4.0L 6cyl with 8k redline based upon a reworked 3.0L turbo from the 718. Looks great! Looks like they held back on the ponies big time! To this day every time I see a Lambo, it's radio off and windows down for a listen. 4.0L 6cyl with 8k redline based upon a reworked 3.0L turbo from the 718. Looks great! Website says it's a new 4.0-litre NA six. Not sure how that's based on a forced-induction 3.0-litre four. I agree it looks great! Website says it's a new 4.0-litre NA six. Not sure how that's based on a forced-induction 3.0-litre four. I agree it looks great! I think it is based on the 3.0 turbo 6 from 911. Pretty smart and logical. This way, they can easily mass produce this new 4.0 engine along side with the regular 911s, and preserve the GT3 engine for the more expensive application. Looks like they held back on the ponies big time!
Actually Mclaren Toronto had a 12c listed for 140k during the same week I test drove/put deposit on the Lambo. It is gone in like a day at a price like that. For me, I figure the new GT4 would list for around 110-120k CAD, and 130k after some must-have options (e.g., bucket seat). Then, it probably won't be released until at least another year, so I would lose maybe another 10k on maintenance/depreciation on the Cayenne Turbo that I will keep driving and trade in next year. So, effectively, I have a 140k CAD (pre-tax) budget to shop for a car now that I can enjoy now (instead of next year). This surprisingly opens up a lot more interesting options in the used market - including Mac, Ferrari, Lambo that I never imagine I would ever own in my lifetime. The new GT4/Spyder is definitely a great car, and it is likely the last of its breed given news of next Gen Boxster/Cayman moving to hybrid/electric. I think it is based on the 3.0 turbo 6 from 911. That 12C for 140 must have been a high mileage car. If its the car I am thinking, mine has 1/3 the kilometres, never been on the track prior to a few weeks ago and today! Attended Apex driving today at Mosport for half the day, and it was Brilliant! After today, the GT4 is a Very distant memory. Enjoy the Superleggera, Brilliant car! Yes, that 12c was orange with higher mileage. Still 140 is a steal IMO! Look like you are enjoying your 12c. Have fun! Yes, that 12c was orange with higher mileage. Still 140 is a steal IMO! Look like you are enjoying your 12c. Have fun! Mclarens are depreciating and are a tremendous value at these prices. Had a blast yesterday at Mosport, link in another thread. Location: BIG smoke eh!
