Audi A4 Has A Bang And Olufsen Sound System
BMW is still the only winner in compact premium saloon class's battle for supremacy, Mercedes-Benz's C-class and Audi's A4 were left behind by 3-series' sales. A4 is gradually making up the grounds on the 3-series, and it is believed that the current version will be good enough to get closer to the BMW. Only this time the Audi has amplified the firepower and revised running gear improves the dynamic performance, and there's a collection of optional features is available for A4 that was not in the past. The features are: adjustable settings for throttle, steering and suspension, then the lane assistance, comfort-cooled front seats, a blind spot monitor, active steering, three-zone climate control, Bang and Olufsen sound systems as well as Quattro all-wheel drive. The A4 is getting more and more attractive with each new generation. Its shorter overhang allows it to extend the wheelbase without making considerable changes in overall dimensions.
Differential and clutch positions has been changed allowing the front axle to move forward and engine to sit further behind front wheels. Bits and bobs storage is fine, four spacious door-bins, a capacious glove-box, a console cubby, netted seat backs, cup-holders all around. Lidded cubbies under the front seats are unpractical as they are hard to reach whereas some shopping bag hooks in the self-opening boot is a wonderful idea. The Audi A4 equipped with dynamic electric steering along with gearing which prevents under-steer and improves braking stability by allowing automatic counter-steering. Is also has the wonderful Audi Drive Select which enables the driver to change the settings of the throttle response, dampers, the automatic gearbox's shift points and the steering weight. If your car is armed with the MMI infotainment system, the range of choices expands to 24 the driver to program each of the elements separately. This A4 comes in saloon and estate models and all of them are roomier, bigger, cleaner and more aerodynamic. Audi A4 engine range's center of gravity is the 2.0-liter TDI which comes with common-rail injection instead of pumpe-duse system and balancer shafts.
It comes in different power-trains ranging from 134 hp up-to 175 hp. There's a 1.8-liter TFSI with 168 hp and a 2.0-liter TFSI with 208 hp petrol units. There's another beast, a 3.0-liter V6 for the S4 which makes enormous 328 hp. Audi A4's diesel engine 3.0-liter V6 produce 201 hp and 3.0-liter V6 with 237 hp. Engines with higher specifications comes with Quattro four-wheel drive, multi-tronic CVT or eight speed automatic gearbox with low-power diesel of either capacity. Else-wise it's a dual-clutch or six-speed manual gearbox. Even on the optional lower-profile tires of 245/40 ZR-18 rather than the standard 225/50 ZR-17 rubber tires, this A4 copes well with the sharp, short shocks in contrast to many of the Audis. Keeping its elegant manner, the A4 rides the spotty roads with extreme comfy. But the bigger bumps rock the body of A4 from side-to-side and shocks are absorbed less well. The wind noise is isolated very well whereas the road noises are sometimes disturbing.
So they are reseting my PCM in the shop today and I will have the car tomorrow. Also said they had the instrument cluster update that needed to occur, I think that may be that recall where the brake wear light does not go on, but who knows. Will check details tomorrow. I also reached out to my friend at Porsche NA headquarters and gave him my list of above issues and he was going to reach out to the PCM team and find out what he can. Lastly, they gave me a 19 Cayenne and here are the differences I see. 1. Siri seems to function even without car play for some reason. It should siri in blue at the top when i first paired the phone to the car. 2. When I connected the phone with cable to PCM, it stated entering HD mode in blue in the top bar.
This screen is definitely higher resolution but I do not think it's the same dimensions as the Panamera screen which I believe is wider. 4. The phone driver in the Cayenne is 10.766.282 vs what I have in my Panamera which is 10.615.471, so there is definitely a new phone driver out, but maybe hardware dependent. Will update once I get my car back tomorrow if any of the Sw specs in my car changed with PCM full reset and instrument cluster update.
