FS: 2019 Porsche Boxster S

FS: 2019 Porsche Boxster S

Excellent example of a 2000 Porsche Boxster S. 103k on the clock with 6 speed transmission. Very nice Ocean Blue Metallic paint in very good condition for a 19 year old cars finish. Very nice sparkle in the sun. Photos of paint makes it look almost black, but it "is" a darker blue. No dash lights on and everything works. Savanna Beige Leather Interior. Porsche floor mats and wind deflector. Premium Sound System, AM/FM/CD. Convertible top works perfectly as well as the A/C that blows ice cold. Upgraded exhaust to Borla which makes it sound more aggressive and adds (not sure how much) more HP. Clear (new) rear window in top. New window regulator and ignition switch. Interior is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or scuffing. The car is not perfect, (what 19 year old car is) but very nice. The Porsche Boxster is probably the biggest bang for your buck and the "S" adds a little more gun powder to the mix. Auto check score in "above average" range. Best price/condition Boxster S on the market. 8500 OBO. Serious only please. No test drive without cash in hand. Once again, serious only please. If your not ready to buy, wait till you are. I'm getting killed with "tire kickers".

European customers can now have their modern Porsches wrapped to resemble classic racing liveries. Owners of late-model Porsche 911s, 718 Boxsters, and 718 Caymans, rejoice: You now can order up a sweet stick-on vinyl racing livery inspired by Porsche race cars of yore. 6800 to give to SecondSkin, a car-wrapping firm started by Porsche. Those with other cars can indulge in a full-body wrap in one of 25 colors drawn from the Porsche Exclusive color palette for their ride (so, too, can those 911 and 718 owners). We've reached out to SecondSkin to see whether their services might spread to the U.S., because we desperately want them to. PCA has launched what promises to be one of the most ambitious Porsche enthusiast-related sites to date. 聯During the 70th anniversary celebration in Stuttgart last June, we discussed Rennbow with senior Porsche management, who gave the project their blessing and support,聰 said Vu Nguyen, PCA Executive Director. Rennbow and PCA are, however, not connected with Porsche AG or Porsche Cars of North America, and no such affiliation should be inferred. Before it went live, the site was pre-loaded with almost 1,800 images and more than 500 colors, representing the majority of Porsche colors offered. The image library and color coverage will continue to grow indefinitely via user-submitted images. The site will also house color-related content ranging from blog posts to feature stories. 聯We think it will be a great resource for anyone who wants to research a Porsche color, or just be entertained by the diversity and the sheer scope of the Porsche palette over the last seven decades,聰 said Sass.

On May 22, 2011 an EF5 tornado struck my hometown of Joplin, Missouri. At the time I was working at a startup in Bend, OR but my folks (and a lot of friends) were still in Joplin. My folks live just six blocks from the St. Johns hospital that took a direct hit and was featured in most of the press coverage. The next three posts are emails I sent back to my team in Oregon telling of my experience. It's been a hectic past few days. This all started for me on Sunday around 4PM when got a call from a friend in Joplin asking if my parents were OK. She said a tornado had just gone through town and there was a lot of damage. I tried calling my folks but just got a busy signal on both their home phone and their cell phone. The local and national news were no help immediately after the storm so I turned to Twitter and Facebook. What I was hearing on there worried me and after seeing the video the weather channel was broadcasting of the damage to the St. John's Hospital I was very worried.

My folks house is not very far from there. I tuned in to the Joplin emergency services radio through an Internet radio scanner and what I was hearing was very worrisome -- not only the location but the scope. This was obviously a major disaster. I started packing my Jeep and planning a trip back not know if I would need to evacuate my parents or what the situation is. I filled it with tools, emergency supplies, and camping equipment just in case. Around this time, about three hours after the tornado went though town, I got a call from the sheriff office saying my parents were fine but the house was severely damaged. I told him I would be there ASAP and hung up -- they were making a lot of calls and couldn't take time for questions. I made it to North Platte, NE on Monday before I needed to stop to sleep.

I got back on the road Tuesday and had to take an alternate route through Kansas to avoid some severe thunderstorms. I finally got to my folks house in Joplin Tuesday night just before the 9PM curfew went into effect. My folks were fine and the house had surprisingly little damage. The power was out due to a tree falling on the power lead and yanking the line off the house. A lot of debris was around the house and a camper shell had landed in the backyard on the fence. The chimneys on the house were missing some bricks but no roof damage or broken glass. Shortly after I arrived a severe storm went though. A tornado was spotted to the west of town so the sirens went off. It never touched down and later the sirens went off again when winds over 75-mph were measured and with all the loose debris around it was considered dangerous. I got up the next morning around 6AM and walked around the neighborhood.
