Most recently, we learned that it's officially making the leap from concept to production, and it's going to be more powerful than expected.
Dressed in heavy camouflage, the 2020 Kia Forte GT promises to be even sportier than the base model. While the cladding hides most of the styling changes, our spy shooter says the car will have a new front fascia with a revised grille and larger air intakes. The modest styling changes continue out back as the model has a modified rear bumper and a dual exhaust system. While the styling changes don鈥檛 appear to be too drastic, the model should receive a more powerful engine. Nothing is official, but the most likely candidate is the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that resides in the Hyundai Elantra Sport. It produces a healthy 201 hp and 264 Nm of torque. If those numbers carryover to the Forte GT, the model would have an additional 54 hp and 85 Nm of torque. That鈥檚 a significant improvement over the base model which has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 147 hp and 178 Nm of torque.
One thing the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 doesn鈥檛 lack is capability but now you can make it even stronger with the newly-available Off-Road Performance Package. Adding factory-installed performance upgrades, the pack gives the Sierra AT4 more power and purpose. The Off-Road Performance Package consists of a standard 6.2-liter V8 engine that gains more power and torque compared to its stock form courtesy of a performance air intake and cat-back performance exhaust system. Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the power plant now makes 435 hp and 635 Nm of torque. Those are increases of 15 hp and 12 Nm of torque over the Sierra AT4 equipped with the same 6.2-liter V8 engine. In addition to the engine upgrades, the 2019 Sierra AT4 Off-Road Performance Package features 18-inch machined aluminum wheels shod with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. The features in the Off-Road Performance package add to the off-road-focused specification of the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4. Introduced earlier this year, the AT4 comes fitted as standard with a 2-inch suspension lift, 4WD with a two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential, skid plates, off-road-tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers, Hill Descent Control, and Traction Select System.
