2019 911 Turbo (996) Vs 2019 BMW E63 M5/M6 Opinions?

I'm looking at a 2005 911 Turbo (996). Any M5/M6 ex-owners or drivers that have spent any time in both cars, have any comments about making the switch? 30k CAD to make the switch (06 M6 69k km to a 05 911 Turbo 33k km). 50k CAD and has a rebuilt title because of somewhat minor front end damage which has been repaired. I'm just trying to get as many opinions on this as possible from people that have driven both. Of course I'll test drive the turbo, but there's only so much you can learn in a 10min test drive. I had an 06 E60 M5 and switched from a Boxster S to the E60 and then back to a 996 base C2. I like my 911 better, and it doesnt even have a turbo. The main thing I didnt like with the 06 was the SMG transmission. And the parts for the M5 were double the cost of some 996. When a Porsche is 1/2 the cost of some BMW parts, something aint right. Besides that, they are totally different cars. A big V10 isnt something you will easily find these days. Watch Doug Demuros E60 M5 YouTube. Drove an 鈥?6 M5 and an 鈥?6 CTTS. M5 was faster in a straight line, but the Cayenne turned as well, or better.

I bought the Cayenne and never regretted leaving the M5. The 996 T is a much more impressive driving car than the M5, and hard to compare a 911 to a saloon car. I do love the M5 exterior and interior. Never driven an M6. Last edited by shurton; 06-14-2019 at 05:51 PM. Drove an 聭06 M5 and an 聭06 CTTS. Could be wrong but price sounds steep for rebuilt title. No matter the reason, it is still a rebuilt title. 38k us plus tax. This a manual, auto, options etc?

Looks clean from the angle in the pics. Could be wrong but price sounds steep for rebuilt title. No matter the reason, it is still a rebuilt title. 38k us plus tax. This a manual, auto, options etc? Looks clean from the angle in the pics. Yeah, having a tough time valuing the car. It's a rebuilt title, but only has 20k miles on it and looks new inside and out. It's a 6 speed manual. I know a few people who owned E63 M5s and the two best days of owning that car for them were the day they bought it and the day they sold it. Constant check engine lights, electrical gremlins, and random parts needing replacement. Find More Posts by Capt. Isn't that M5 with the v10 arguably the worst one they made in terms of reliability? Unless I am thinking of the wrong generation. Isn't that M5 with the v10 arguably the worst one they made in terms of reliability?
