The Audi A4

The Audi A4

In 1994 Audi introduced that A4 to replace the Audi 80. It is a compact executive car rivalling the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C Class. The Audi A4 is available as a four door saloon, an estate and a cabriolet, all available with Audi's Quattro system. The fourth generation Audi A4 was released in 2008 and is the current model. The new Audi A4 was initially unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show in its saloon form; the estate was unveiled later at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The Audi A4 has the best in class rear leg room and boot space; it is slightly larger than its predecessor. There are plenty of diesel and petrol engine to choose from in the A4 range. The petrol engines consist of a 1.8 litre TFSI, a 2.0 litre TFSI and a V6 powered 3.2 Litre FSI. In the diesel range you have a 2.0 litre TDI, a 2.7 litre V6 TDI and a 3.0 litre V6 TDI. The larger petrol and diesel engines come as standard with Audi's renowned 4 wheel drive Quattro system. The Audi A4 is not the sportiest drive in its class but, it's a joy to drive with its well balanced handling and ample grip. The ride is comfortable but due to its size as well as front and rear overhang, larger bumps can de-stabilise the Audi A4. Like most modern day Audis the A4 is very quiet on the inside. Road, tyre and suspension noise do not enter the cabin and the engines are ultra quiet with a smooth buzz.

Not looking for a garage queen. I plan to drive it and hope that the previous owner didn't let it sit and collect dust for too long. Thinking of the good ole Italian tune up vs dust magnet. 120k is fine for a high quality car that passes inspection. 27k isn't a lot of miles for a driven car. 115k just because it's a dealer. 120k for a clean car with the exact specs you want. 115k is exactly what I was thinking of trying to end negotiations at. Thank you for your input! Welcome to the Forum Eurofunction! First, glad to hear you FOUND what you are looking for. 11 painted in Aqua Blue in 2010 in all of North America. MSRP is still not a bad approach. 120K is high. Not by much, and certainly negotiable,.. I would agree with chiffonade above. 141K, and I ended up right about where the asking price is of this example you are looking at.

113K,.. and let them counter. It may take 2 rounds of counters (which I do not prefer to advocate on a GT purchase, BUT there are plenty of these white 997.2 GT3's with mid 20K-30K miles on them,.. 115K. This is my .02. Be prepared to say you are going to walk on the deal. PPI, and KNOW what the history is of those 27K miles. Btw, I lived in Bedford NH for a number of years. Played ice hockey & loved it there. Thank you for the advice Steve. I've been in contact with them and explained that initially the price seemed a tad high, the sales guys said there was room for negotiation (especially since I'd be travelling to them to pick it up). I am also hoping that it works in my favor that they purchased this from a Porsche dealership and them being a BMW dealership may not know as much about the market. Bedford is only 20 minutes up the road from me. Thanks for the advice sir! They did get back to me with a Carfax and DME report. Carfax looks clean other that it showing that it had a big maintenance service done recently and in it saying "Wing/Spoiler installed" which prompted a question of why was it not originally installed? Or am i misunderstanding the carfax? DME showed no over revs in in ranges 2 - 6 and 38 over revs in range 1. From what I've read that seems pretty normal.

Audi has redesigned its flagship executive class model. Much of the body of the new Audi A6 consists of aluminum and high-tech steels, rendering it exceedingly light, stiff and safe. State-of-the art design methods and materials ensure extremely low interior noise levels. Precision tuning of all components and systematic hydraulic damping in the axle and drivetrain bearings provide excellent vibrational comfort. The design of the new Audi A6 embodies athleticism and elegance. The sedan is 4.92 meters (16.14 ft) long and 1.87 meters (6.14 ft) wide, but just 1.46 meters (4.79 ft) high - sporty proportions that are unrivaled by the competition. The long engine hood, the low, sweeping roofline and the prominent lines on the flanks create a dynamic overall appearance. Optional LED headlights emphasize the striking expression at the front. The roomy interior of the new Audi A6 echoes the sinewy style of the exterior. The salient element is the "wrap-around" - an inlay encircling the driver and the front-seat passenger. The elegantly curved dash panel places the driver at the center of the interior.

Every detail of the interior is a testament to the care that Audi invests in carmaking. All materials, including an innovative layered-wood veneer, have been selected and crafted with the utmost care. As an option, the front seats can be equipped with ventilation and massage functions. Classy ambient lighting in the lighting package provides small points of light throughout the interior. The new Audi A6 features the logical ergonomics concept that distinguishes all of the brand's models. A highly efficient automatic air conditioning system and the latest-generation MMI radio operating system are standard; Audi also offers an optional head-up display, which projects important information onto the windshield. The MMI touch operating system is also available as an option. This enables much of the hard-drive MMI navigation plus system to be controlled by means of a touchpad. The online services, developed though a partnership between Audi and service provider Google, connect the full-sized sedan to the Internet via the Bluetooth car phone online.
