Currently, the market is awash with all-electric start-up car brands, and this Swiss-built GT car could be the latest addition to the flood. Called the Piech Mark Zero, it鈥檚 an electric sports car built by a new company fronted by the son of Ferdinand Piech, the former head of Volkswagen. These leaked teaser images preview the car鈥檚 design ahead of its launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Full performance specifications for the Mark Zero are yet to be announced. The battery packs are mounted in the car鈥檚 transmission tunnel and on the rear axle, which Piech states will provide a driving experience closer to that of an internal combustion-engined car. The Swiss start-up also claims that the Mark Zero鈥檚 architecture will be modular, allowing its battery packs and hardware to be replaced as technology advances. Potentially, Piech鈥檚 modular architecture could offer buyers a range of powertrains, including internal combustion engines, various hybrid systems and even a fuel-cell driven option. In addition, the Swiss firm plans to make its platform available to other manufacturers. For the next few years, Piech has planned a range of cars, consisting of a two-seat sports car, a four-seat saloon and a sporty SUV, built on the Mark Zero鈥檚 underpinnings. Release dates for these upcoming Piech models are yet to be announced.

Our spies have spotted a series of test mules for Porsche鈥檚 8th generation 911 out winter testing - and, for the first time, they鈥檙e bereft of any significant camouflage. As you can see, the mule appears noticeably wider at both the front and rear, with rumours suggesting the increase in track width could be the biggest indication yet that Porsche is testing hybrid technology on its road-going Neunelfer. Another noticeable point of interest can be found at the rear, Porsche鈥檚 test mules sporting an active rear wing that extends across the full width of the 992鈥檚 rear humps. The styling of the rear lights looks to follow a design parallel with that of the newly-released Panamera. Last year we told you how the new 992 generation looks set to ride on a shared chassis, with turbocharging likely to feature across the entire lineup. A hybrid system could be an option by 2020, though Total 911 isn鈥檛 yet aware of any pure electric technology being tested on its world famous sports car.

What's the first thing that enters your mind when you hear about an exotic car? Is it an Italian craftsmanship like Ferrari or a British masterpiece like McLaren? Or maybe, you visualize muscle and luxury cars such as Chevrolet Camaro, Aston Martin or Ford Mustang. Whatever exotic cars in Dubai you are dreaming to own, you need to keep in mind that it takes more than just cash to take it home. Apart from searching for reputable luxury car dealers, you also need to negotiate your loan rate, request to modify or upgrade some things, discuss the terms and so on. There are several exotic cars to select from, especially if you have hefty cash to spare. However, it's going to be easier said than done to finally decide on 'the one' as there are several factors at play. Of course, one of the initial things you need to do is set your budget. By setting a ceiling, you can reduce the stress of choosing from a number of options.

Next, given that you are searching for an exotic car, you have to define its "exoticness". Research, jot down your preferences and know the nomenclature associated with sports cars or luxury cars, including the engine they have and so forth. In doing so, you can be upfront with the salesperson regarding the details of the car you are interested in. It is also important to be direct regarding your preferred price range and to round it up, so you can further choose from wide-ranging models. Take note that dealers seldom enable potential car buyers to test drive a car right then and there. Hence, to make the right decision on which exotic car to consider, research online and check out unbiased reviews or test drive videos of your shortlisted cars. When buying luxury cars in Dubai, it is critical to show proof of your financial capability. You also need to know about the various maintenance plans, brands, models, and gearing options that are currently available or will soon be. By engaging with the salesperson, you will be able to get a decent plan at an affordable price. If you are setting sights on pre-owned cars in Dubai, you also need to check their condition, mileage, transmission and other parts that you consider critical before making the final decision. Owning an exotic car is truly a great achievement. However, when it comes to buying one, you need to be realistic and drop your expectations so the process will be as smooth as possible.
