  Diagnostic conditions

• Engine at operating temperature
• Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
• Engine speed > 2,000 rpm
• Knock control active (load over 30%)
  
  

  Possible fault causes

• Open circuit in line, crimping fault, or loose contact of the sensor and/or ground line
• Short circuit to ground
• Corrosion or loose contact of plug connection
• Knock sensor loose
• Knock sensor faulty
