  Diagnostic conditions

• Engine at operating temperature
• Time after engine starts > 10 seconds
• Engine speed between 800 rpm and 1,200 rpm for detection of electrical faults
• Engine speed > 3,000 rpm for detection of engine problem
• Knock control active (load over 30%)
  
  

  Possible fault causes

• Short circuit to B+
• Much too little engine oil
• Engine mechanically damaged
