2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo (970) V8-4.8L Turbo A L L Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC ): P Code Charts Page 519

Diagnostic conditions

The control unit initially tests internal function sequences when the ignition is switched on (terminal 15). If they are OK, all diagnosable outputs are

then tested and any faults are stored.

- Ignition on

- The following fault is not detected: P1830

- The following fault is not detected: P1838

Possible fault causes

- Line between pressure regulator 1 and PDK control unit faulty

- Pressure regulator 1 faulty

- PDK control unit faulty

Fault setting conditions

- Internal current measurement, pressure regulator 1: current consumption = 0 mA

- Pressure regulator 1, measured voltage = 0 V

Fault effects

- Pressure control switch-off, clutch 1

- Engaged gear is held until vehicle stops.

- Moving off possible only in 2nd gear

- Transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster control unit

Pressure Regulator 1 (Clutch 1), Open Circuit

then tested and any faults are stored.

- Ignition on

- The following fault is not detected: P1830

- The following fault is not detected: P1838

Possible fault causes

- Open circuit in line between pressure regulator 1 and PDK control unit

- Pressure regulator 1 faulty

- PDK control unit faulty

Fault setting conditions

- Internal current measurement, pressure regulator 1: current consumption = 0 mA

- Line resistance between pressure regulator 1 and PDK control unit > 1 MOhm

Fault effects

- Pressure control switch-off, clutch 1

- Clutch 1 opening

- Engaged gear is held until vehicle stops.

- Moving off possible only in 2nd gear

- Transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster control unit

Setpoint definitions

NOTE: The specified values and value ranges correspond to the OK state in each case.

Line test setpoints

Short circuit to B+:

- Setpoint voltage -0.5 V --> +0.5 V

Short circuit to ground:

- Setpoint resistance > 0.9 MOhm
